Photo-A-Day #2186
A day getting things done here. Well, maybe not here but we did do some fun stuff later in the day. We also went and looked at a couple of houses. One was so cool and I think we might make an offer. the other I didn’t like at all. I knew I didn’t like it just pulling up to the driveway. It is pretty much straight up and fits two cars. The backyard is a swamp… um I mean wetlands. Blah.
The one that I did like is within walking distance of the Capron Park Zoo. It has a fenced in yard plus a two car garage, and a garden area. The inside had a sweet kitchen, a huge built in bookshelf and so many cool features to it. It was also kept up very well over the years. Basically we’d do some wallpaper removal and painting to our tastes and that looks like it would be good to go. Claw foot tub too. Not that functional for showers and all but very cool.
Later when we got home I took Eva outside to blow bubbles. She was using the Jelly Belly Grape one from Little Kids, Inc. Eva would take the wand out and spin in circles and circles. She was having a great time too. I was fortunate to snap this one in mid spin.
Tonight Allison looked through her old books and found some Nancy Drew ones. We finished reading the Nancy Drew app last night and it looks like Eva likes reading the books even if she isn’t interacting with the iPad app. When we were at the house we liked one of the rooms was for a little girl and in it there were some classic Nancy Drew books. I bet they were hardcover 1st editions too. I’m sure that they were the childhood books of the woman who owns the house because the downstairs bookshelf was stuffed with mystery books. We could have moved right in I think. 🙂
Fabulous photo with all the bubbles! I think I have to get one of these for the girls! The house sounds wonderful to me!
Good luck on the house! I’m so excited for you and Allison! I cannot believe how big Eva is.
Thank you Karen. Eva has gotten really big and she can now wear that Colts Hat (I won’t let her thought :-), but she is big enough for it. 🙂 )
