Driving My Tractor at Tougas Family Farm

Driving My Tractor

With a day off we headed to Tougas Family Farm for some Apple Picking. We missed going last year and the kids really enjoy it so it made perfect sense to go. It was great to do this during the week because there were hardly any other people out picking except for school groups and they were in a whole other area. We got there early enough that we had the whole place to ourselves.

 Rope Swing

The kids were able to have the entire playground to themselves. The played like crazy and spent a lot of time on the rope swings and more. The giant tires were fun for them to climb on. We also picked up some apple cider donuts. At first the kids tried them and had a few bites, then they went and decided that they didn’t like them. I wonder whose kids these are, sometimes.

Several Apples

Then we went across the street to pick apples. There were a whole bunch of apples to choose from. We picked a bushel of all different kinds of apples. Allison will be making a pie at some point and the kids are tearing through all of them.

Eva and Apple

The kids were loving to eat the apples while walking through the orchard.

Apple Picking

Plenty of apples to go around. Everyone is loving picking them and eating them straight off the trees.

Apple Dumpling Gang

I found these two in an apple crate, can we keep them?

Giant cookie at Snappy Dogs

After our apple picking we went to Snappy Dogs for lunch. The kids loved their hot dogs and were amazed at the size of the one that I got, the Great Dane, a 1/2 lb Pearl Hot Dog. We love going to Snappy Dogs because Lisa and Teresa are so nice. They make a great product and they always remember us. In addition to the hot dogs we got one of their giant cookies and Allison had a salted caramel whoopie pie. Everything was excellent.
