Last Day of First Grade for Eva

Photo-A-Day #3724

Today was the last day of school for Eva and we are full on ready to start the Summer season. All sorts of things are coming ahead and so we ware ready for the next adventure. I meant to record a video of the things that Eva liked most from the year and what she was looking ahead to as well as what she wants to bee when she gets out of school. We recorded something like that last year and I’d like to try and be consistent. I figure that in the next few days would work fine.

Andrew and I spent the morning over at The Purple Rooster and then An Unlikely Story with my mom. The Purple Rooster is a restaurant that has an eclectic menu of food and some really nice breakfast options. I heard all the great things coming for Father’s Day and am thinking that I might like to come back after Church Sunday. Many mentions of bacon.

Posing out front of An Unlikely Story

An Unlikely Story is a new bookstore owned by Jeff Kinney, the creator of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He bought the old Faulks Market in Plainville and unfortunately it was a tear down but he built a beautiful new building to replace it. When I was a kid I remember going down to the market once or twice with my cousins. Now that same cousin works on some of the art pieces in the building. Amazing how things happen.

Mem reading to Andrew

There was a story time and activity for the kids and it happens on Fridays. We just happened to be there for the very first one. Andrew loved it. He got to make a sandwich bag elephant puppet.

An Unlikely Story

I wonder what is up with all the elephants.
