Photo-A-Day #2193
Today Eva and I played out in the yard during the afternoon. I set up a bunch of her new Backyard Safari Outfitters equipment (For a review and giveaway coming tomorrow). I’ve had these items for a while now, just waiting for the first really nice dry day so that we could play in the BACK Yard. Nope, Eva wanted the Front yard. I got more than a few strange looks but I didn’t care, Eva was having a really fun time being an explorer, scientist and of course Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl. She even had a little Nancy Drew Thrown in for good measure.
We played and played for two hours. I took a ton of cute pictures of Eva in her gear but LOVE this photo of her and her field journal. So she has a little bit of Lizze from Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue thrown in as well. I feel so fortunate that for the most part Eva is picking up on many positive qualities of the girls and women in the media that she consumes.
After our adventuring we came in the house and Allison, Eva and I snuggled up on the couch to watch Truth Be Told, a movie that is going to be on Fox on April 16th that stars Candace Cameron Bure. I already saw it and liked it very much and wanted to share it with Allison and Eva. I’ll have a full review of this movie later this week as well.
Eva told me this joke today. Pete, Pete and Re Pete were sitting on a log. Pete Pete jumped off, who was left? Well the answer is Re Pete. So then she says the joke again. Each time the answer is Re Pete. I had never heard that joke before. Eva tells it and when you say Re Pete she laughs like crazy even though that really isn’t the funny part after all. That kid cracks me up. Even though I can get frustrated by her antics I still get many more smiles each and every day.
I loved that she’d yell, “You’re right!” each time you answered RePete, then forget to retell the joke! She tries so hard though!!
Yeah Hon, she was very funny with her joke telling. She cracks me up.
That is just adorable!! I love the example of family you all are…it’s just awesome to me! I’d say don’t ever change…but I know you won’t so I shouldn’t bother:)
Mo,
Thanks. You’re right, we won’t. 🙂
