Some folks may thing that the choice for today’s PAD is cruel and may upset delicate senses. It is of a hawk that has captured a pigeon. It was a pretty amazing sight to see. If you would not like to see it don’t read
So I was at work today and Jim says, the hawk got a pigeon. Well, I have never seen a hawk with a catch before. It was amazing. Some folks may thing that the choice for today’s PAD is cruel and may upset delicate senses.
Now this image is not the greatest because I was using my Canon SD800is at the highest digital zoom. Not always a great quality image, pretty grainy. It is too bad that I didn’t have my DSLR with me.
Tonight Allison and I went to dinner with Aunt Cindy and Uncle Wayne, Tara and Erik. We had dinner at Fortune House and as always it was delicious.
I bought a toilet today. Not the one that can flush 50 golf balls. The only person I know who would need this one would be my friend Ken. But that is a whole ‘nother story.
Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and I started a little simple contest on this blog. I hope you enter and enjoy it.
I honestly don’t see why this sort of thing would offend people. It’s the way of nature, for crying out loud! What do some people think…that hawks and other carnivorous wildlife should go to Stop & Shop to buy their food? They have to eat, and this is how it is!
People need to think about where the meat that they buy at the grocery store comes from. Somebody had to kill it. Same difference.
Anyway, off my soapbox…I think that is a cool picture, because it’s not something you get to see every day. I’m sure that hawks kill prey every day, but how often do you get a picture of it?
But we can be spared the saga of Ken…I’d just be happy with a toilet that can maybe flush ONE golf ball, if even that!
Just giving people a bit of warning before I spring a photo like that. Some folks have been scared of spiders when I post them so I just didn’t want to upset anyone. Maybe because it is my blog and I shouldn’t worry about what anyone thinks but that is just me. I am concerned with what my readers think and would like to keep many around. Sure it is nature and I did tag it Circle of Life.
Don’t worry, I won’t post Ken’s saga. He never reads the blog anyway.
Christine,
Some people like to think that their meat comes from the grocery store, thankyouverymuch! It makes it easier to eat that yummy steak or chicken or fish. 😉
Cute hon.
A shame of the quality of the picture as you mentioned, nature pictures like these can turn out really well if the quality is good.
The bird is quite a poser btw, looking right at the camera like that ;-).
I totally waited for the hawk to look at me and it did. The quality from that camera is usually great, but with the digital zoom it certainly degenerates. Oh well, I’ll have to make sure I carry the DSLR with me often as well.
hi, are u here? i’d like to talk to any one now, just .. i feel little sad, so i want to talk to you through just “how are you doing?” “how is ur day spending?” “how is ur life around?”
I am here, I am sorry to hear that you are sad. If you want to e-mail me please go right ahead. I tried to e-mail you but apparently all I did was post to your blog as a blog post. So weird.
