Review: Find-It: Mythical Creatures

Andrew with the Find-It Mythical Creatures

We received a copy of Find It® Games newest themed adventure, Mythical Creatures for free to play with and review. Opinions, as always are 100% our own.

We are fans of the Find It® Games in our home. We have a couple and the kids pick them up from time to time to see how many items the can find. With Mythical Creatures they are now learning about things like Bigfoot, The Kraken, and even a jackalope. Andrew was even talking to me about solving a riddle for the Sphinx. With this new game there are some cards included that challenge players to find not only all the creatures but ones with specific attributes like horns or feathers.

The Find-It toy

When Andrew was playing with the game I was working on a project and needed a few minutes to complete it. So, he would come over and I would pull out one of the cards and challenge him to find a creature according to that card. He would go off and find the item and come back to me, sometimes after a minute or so sometimes longer but he really worked hard at it.PSSST: BIGFOOT SPOTTED WITH MYTHICAL FRIENDS HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT IN NEWEST FIND IT® GAME
Mermaids, Dragons And Fairies, Oh My! The Hunt For 40 Mythical Creatures Is Contained In One Family-Friendly Adventure

Snohomish, WA (July 28, 2016) – Liven up a summer day with a little myth busting. Ask the kids to hunt for Bigfoot, Trolls and Fairies with the help of Find It® Games newest themed adventure, Mythical Creatures ($19.99).

The award-winning maker of contained adventures offers hide-and-seek fun in a sturdy cylinder for kids 6 to 96! Challenge the grownups to find arcane items like Cupid’s arrow or Mothman’s eye. If they balk and say “when pig’s fly” just tell them that’s in the container too – a Flying Pig!

The search for 40 strange and unusual items starts with an alphabetical list found on the top of the container and listed on the enclosed brochure, along with tips for one player or multiple. Parents will quickly discover that each mythical creature could be the beginning of a lesson. Pegasus is one of the best-known creatures in Greek mythology. Mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a human female and the tail of a fish. Sphinx is truly a mysterious marvel from the days of ancient Egypt with the body of a lion and the head of a king.

Actually, Find It games have been touted as educational toys that encourage focus and concentration. As noted on parent company Identity Games at www.FindItGames.com, “We have heard from scores of consumers, teachers, and parents who have all used Find It® Games as a tool to engage and calm their child with learning difficulties such as ADHD or ADD.”

It’s no wonder Find It adventures wow toy industry judges year after year. Over 4 million themed games have been sold with Eww Gross and Mythical Creatures the newest in a long list of collectibles. The rules are simple: some objects are easy to find; others a bit harder. Twist and shake the cylinder to find all the items – it’s that simple!

THE FIRST FIND IT

As the story goes, the very first Find It game in 2003 consisted of small household objects hidden in a pound of bird seed and then encased in a clear plastic pop bottle. The Founders made these early “production runs” at their kitchen table. When the concept caught on among friends and family members, they decided to take the product to the next level. They rounded up their savings and created the business that would one day become a household name for millions!
