I received the Mission Impossible Level Pack for LEGO Dimensions from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for free to use and review. Opinions of the product and how it works are 100% my own.
The Mission Impossible Level Pack for LEGO Dimensions is a welcome addition to the whole LEGO Dimensions game. In it we have the storyline of the first Mission Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise. Voices in the Level Pack are of Tom Cruise and other actors from the movie. Many aspects of the movie are shown in the game and many of Ethan’s abilities are from not only the first movie but also from Ghost Protocol which had the scene of Ethan Hanging off the side of the Dubai Tower. We also get the scenes of Ethan’s infiltration of the IMF headquarters, the bullet train scene and many reimaginings of the movie in cut-scene form. These all have the unique LEGO twist with the humor and execution.
I created a video of my thoughts on the game and also some gameplay that expounds on the abilities that the Ethan Hunt figure has in the game and examples of what the vehicles, the IMF Scrambler and IMF Sports Car can do.
And now on to the figure and vehicles found int the Mission Impossible Level Pack.
IMF Sports Car is a Mission: Impossible vehicle in LEGO Dimensions. It is one of Ethan Hunt’s personal vehicles. It is one sweet looking model. Andrew remarked how much he liked this one when he built it. I agree with him, it is a sweet looking sports car and it has the ability to use Accelerator Switches and the Tow Bar. The IMF Sports car can be upgraded to turn into the IMF Tank and the IMF-splorer. I do not have the abilities of either of those modes at this time but it looks like the IMF Tank has some heavy weapons and the IMF-splorer can go under water.
The IMF Scrambler is a Mission: Impossible vehicle in LEGO Dimensions. It is one of Ethan Hunt’s personal vehicles. This vehicle is based on the motorcycle he used in Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. The vehicle can spin in a circle and fire all around devastating all sorts of enemies and bricks alike. I use that to clear areas of bricks quickly. The IMF Scrambler can be reconfigured to be the Shock Cycle and the IMF Covert Jet which allows flight. Not much else is known about the two alternate builds at this point. I need to gather many more bricks before I can unlock those modes.
Ethan Hunt has so many abilities it feels like you need only him on the Toy Pad most of the time. When playing through other levels I like to have Ethan around because he can take care of so many things. Here are his abilities:
- Acrobatics
- Target (Silenced Pistol)
- Technology
- Fuse Box
- Climb (Magno Gloves)
- Drone (Mini Helicopter)
- Grapple (Grappling Hook)
- Silver LEGO Blowup (Exploding Chewing Gum)
- Stealth (Invisible Wall)
- Scan Disguise (Binoculars)
- Underwater Swimming
- X-Ray Vision (Binoculars)
- Rope Swing (Grappling Hook)
As you can see, he is a pretty handy character to have around. He can get in and out of many tight spots.
This Level Pack is a must have for any Tom Cruise fan but also a fan who wants to have one of the most versatile characters in the game.
