It has been all about Star Wars for me this past week. I’ve seen the movie twice and am eagerly anticipating playing the new The Force Awakens Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0. I’m also excited to see the movie a couple more times. Once with Allison and once with Eva. Eva has been very excited about Star Wars and has watched Episodes 4-6 and 1. She is eagerly awaiting watching Episode 2 and I may hold off on Episode 3 until we can watch all of The Clone Wars together. I really think that that should be part of her Star Wars education. She asked Santa for a book of the original trilogy and I hope that she gets it because I love that she wants to read about this stuff and not just watch it on TV.
Not that there isn’t a ton of great TV for Star Wars right now like Star Wars Rebels. I recently got some Star Wars Rebels Micro Machines from the #ChooseLightSide program with Hunter PR and Hasbro. I got the two ships, The Ghost and The Phantom. So I wanted to get a group shot of the team plus these ships. Now. I just need to get my hands on a Chopper and an Ahsoka figure and I’ll be all set. And many a Rex figure as an old man. That would be good if they release that and the two new inquisitors.
The other fun thing, besides the movie, is the Star Wars: The Force Awakens figures and Play Set that just got released for Disney Infinity 3.0. This happened on Friday and I haven’t had a chance to play this new playset. I’m hoping that it gets sent to me so that I can discuss it further but for now I have these details about everything that came out. I also recently talked with the guys, Chris and Don from The Dad Spotlight and talked a lot about the new Play Set and characters.

Of course, this is the opening weekend for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and this movie is a giant powerhouse that is smashing all sorts of records. I’ve seen it twice and it was great both times.
I love how BB-8 had some great personality without being over the top like C3P0 and R2D2 in Episode III. The whole comic relief from those two droids was really forced in those movies but BB-8 is much more fluid. He’s a cute droid that kids are going to love.
I love the chemistry between Finn and Rey. These characters work so well together and there is a genuineness in their personalities. You have to see this movie in the theater, and soon. Try and avoid the spoiler trolls out there. They are part of the Dark Side.
I posted this activity pack before but it is so great I wanted to give you a chance to download it again. Click the image below to download.
