What a time for me to change around our cable bill and lose Disney XD. On October 16th Star Wars Rebels returns with their final season. Season Four will be the culmination of one of the best Star Wars Series ever, in my opinion. The story of these characters who have interwoven through the fabric of the Star Wars mythos has been full of adventure, heart and wonder. The characters have undergone much development through the series. Watch the trailer and I dare you not to be moved by it.
I was blindsided with the amazing STAR WARS REBELS Season 4 Trailer today. I knew that Star Wars Celebration was happening but totally didn’t realize that there would be a Star Wars Rebels panel, let alone a new trailer. This was incredible! I love Star Wars Rebels, probably more than any other Star Wars story ever. The characters are fantastic and the story is a great adventure. I’m sad to see it ending but I know that it will be done right. The trailer sent chills all through me. The team behind this series is amazing. Ever since I first saw Freddie Prinze Jr at Toy Fair years ago and he showed us a tiny glimpse of this series, I knew I would love it and I do!
TEASER TRAILER FOR FINAL SEASON OF ‘STAR WARS REBELS’ PROMISES BIG SURPRISES AHEAD
The anticipation for surprises to come is at an all-time high as the brand new trailer for season four of “Star Wars Rebels” debuted today at Star Wars Celebration Orlando!
Promising an action-packed storyline that left fans eager for more, executive producer Dave Filoni delivered news of the show’s must-see conclusion alongside the voice cast of the entire Ghost crew including Freddie Prinze Jr., Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray, Vanessa Marshall and Steve Blum.
Filoni announced, “‘Star Wars Rebels’ will be the complete journey that it was meant to be from the very beginning. We all felt that the time was right and that the characters were at a point where their story, and their destinies, should finally be revealed. We deeply appreciate all our fans who have journeyed with the Ghost crew, and I promise season four will be like no other.”
Now in production, the fourth and final season of “Star Wars Rebels” will premiere this fall on Disney XD and conclude the thrilling and inspiring galactic adventures of fan-favorites like Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren and the entire Ghost crew!
The critically acclaimed series has carried a new era of beloved characters, exploring storylines that span the entire Star Wars offering of movies, television, and diverse media. Season four promises a whole new batch of excitement and revelation as the series draws closer to the events of “Star Wars: A New Hope.”
I’m getting things ready for our Spring Break Trip up to New Hampshire. I will be bringing along the Polaroid SnapTouch camera and the Cube+ and the Zip. The kids saw me playing with them and they wanted to try it out, so they let me take their photo with the SnapTouch. It isn’t be best camera but it is meant to print out 2X3 images on heat transfer paper so they don’t need to be high detail, but they aren’t too bad.
Like I said, we’re off on vacation for Spring Break next week and we’re not going to be doing a whole lot other than being together and having fun. So, I think that it is finally time to break out some of my LEGO Star Wars sets that I have been collecting for years. The kids are old enough to work together to make Luke’s X-Wing Fighter!
My friend Linsey asked me how I was getting a certain effect to my photos recently. She wanted to know what I was using and the answer was super simple. I bought two pieces of posterboard that had a two tone color to them. One is blue to yellow and the other is yellow to pink. I’ve been using them for a while now and I am noticing that my photos are looking very much the same. They are better for filming and for showcasing the toys. I’ll be picking up some more posterboard soon in different colors to match the different toys better.
So the technique is placing the posterboard down at a curve so that there are no angles. Then the light makes the poster a bit shiny at the curve. I’m going to figure out better ways to use these and the lights that I use for filming my videos. As I learn more I will make more videos like the one below.
I found all of the Star Wars Rebels Funko Pops at Target today. The ones I found were Zeb Orrelios, Chopper, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla and I already had Ahsoka Tano from months ago at Hot Topic. There is a Sabine with her helmet on that I need to find, too. That Pop! is a Walgreens exclusive. Well, I know where I’ll be searching in the next couple of days.
I also took these toys and made a Samsung Gear 360 VR video with them. You can see that using your VR headset. I have embedded that video below today’s unboxing video of the Star Wars Rebels Funko Pops! Toys.
When I was in California I stopped over to Hot Topic and found the Ashoka Tano exclusive Funko Pop!. I just learned that the whole crew of The Ghost is being made into Pop! form. There is also a Sabine with her helmet special figure happening. I think that one is exclusive to Walgreens of all places.
The Star Wars Rebels Funko Pops! figures are young Jedi Ezra and his mentor Kanan! They also will have Sabine, the weapons expert. Then there is Hera, the pilot and captain. There is also the strongman Zeb and their droid Chopper. There are also a couple of exclusives like I mentioned above.
I also realized that Ashoka knew Saw Gererra from the Clone Wars days. I’d love to have seen them together in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That most likely isn’t happening but if Ashoka survived her fight with Vader in the end of Season 2 then it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that she could meet back up with Saw Gererra.
I found a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Funko Pop! of Saw Gererra. This is a character who was first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He was a rebel who would go to extremes. He and his sister Steela were part of a rebel group the Onderon rebels. They fought against the Confederacy of Independent Systems on Onderon during the Clone Wars.
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Saw Gererra is going to be part of the rebel forces, I hope. It looks like he has had some cybernetic upgrades. He’s got a metal leg and he may even have a metal arm. He’s certainly a grizzled old warrior covered in scars from his many fights in the Rebellion. I’m looking forward to seeing Forest Whitaker’s take on the role. I think he’s going to be great.
With the introduction of a character from The Clone Wars into the movies it gives me hope that Ahsoka Tano may finally appear in the movies. That would be incredible. She is one of my all time favorite characters. I need to find her Pop! soon.
With Star Wars Rebels returning tonight at 8:30EST to Disney XD for Season 3 I wanted to share something cool with you. Season two of Star Wars Rebels was the most amazing yet. It was even more incredible with the return of Ahsoka Tano and her addition to the team. While the story of the Rebels on the Ghost was compelling, the most compelling was the showdown between Ahsoka and Vader. I had watched all of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and tying the two series together along with the original Trilogy. I can’t wait to see who shows up in season three.
The journey of Ezra and Kanan will be more interesting, too. There is so much anger in Ezra that I fear he will turn fully to the Dark Side. Kanan will embrace his Jedi side even more now that he is blind. He will doubt himself but he will rise stronger. At least this is what I am predicting.

Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels just got better and better. Old friends, old foes, tie ins with The Clone Wars and so much more. This season made me love Ahsoka Tano even more. It didn’t hurt that during this season I was really into playing the Star Wars characters and missions of Disney Infinity or that my daughter became obsessed with all things Star Wars. She was excited to see every episode of Star Wars Rebels with me.
We watched our copy of the DVD today and checked out the great bonus features. I especially loved, loved, loved the From Apprentice to Adversary: Vader vs. Ahsoka (Exclusive to Blu-ray). This was something so special to me because Ahsoka is one of my very favorite characters and the story of she and Darth Vader is a complex and incredible one. Watching this left me wanting much more with Season 3 on the way.
