Got a child interested in Science and bugs but do not want bugs in your home? You have to check out HEXBUG. I am a fan of these fun little guys. There are a bunch of different HEXBUG toys but what I got to review was the HEXBUG Nano Hive Habitat Set. This is an all-in-one set that easily closes up for organization and cleaning. Just flip the sides up and you’ve picked up, flip the sides down and your Nanos are ready to buzz, crawl and shake through mazes that you design.
The HEXBUG Nano is probably the most recognizable HEXBUG around. What basically looks like a motorized toothrush head is actually a tiny robot that behaves like a real bug, completely unpredictable. The Nano is the type of robot that can find its way through any maze. It continually moves, squeezes through tight spots, rights itself if it falls and is constantly on the move. These are great abilities to have because you as the person playing with the Nano and the HEXBUG Nano Hive Habitat Set get to create mazes and obstacles to put in the way of the Nano and observe what it does.
There is also an online component to play with the Nanos. With each Nano you get there is a code where you can register your Nano and play a mind bender game where you must try to move a Nano mold through a maze and do it in the least number of moves. It is a fun brain twister. The site that you go to for it is very science focused. By registering your Nano you can see all of the Nanos in your collection in one place. This also shows you what kind of Nanos you have like Mutations, Newton and Galileo collections.
If you’d like to experiment with HEXBUG Nanos then enter to win below.
Please use the rafflecopter widget and follow all of the directions. The first direction is to leave a comment on this post (scroll to bottom to the comment section) after you’ve visted the HEXBUG website and tell me what HEXBUG set you’d like to play with. Then click the “I did this” button on the rafflecopter widget. You can gain more entries by doing other tasks after that. But you must do the first steps to enter.
Disclosure: I received a copy of this toy to review and blog about as well as give away as part of the SwagsGiving Event. Opinions about the toy are 100% my own.
I like the Nano Hive Habitat Set the best.
HEXBUG Nano Hive Habitat Set
I have NEVER even heard of these before!! They are so cool, like mini robot wars.. I think in reading all the descriptions theoriginal or nano is the robot which has the most interactive capabilities. Im still trying to figure it out. Can say the nano be mixed with the spider along with the hive.. I am interested in experimenting w/ it..
I would have to say the HEXBUG Nano Elevation Habitat Set with Construct Habitat System is one i would want to play with. All though they do have a lot of cool sets. Thanks for the giveaway!
