Each time a new Avengers movie comes out I pick up the LEGO sets. When I saw them at Target I grabbed all of them immediately. I probably should have waited because LEGO was doing a special where if you purchased $75 worth of sets you’d get a special Avengers Tower set. So, I returned a couple of sets to Target and bought the sets through the LEGO Shop online. I wish that LEGO had the Avengers: Endgame sets at the time when they were offering a special Avengers 4 pack of minifigs, though. Maybe I can find someone who wants to trade one of those sets with the extra Avengers Tower that I got.
I like this set a lot because they did a great job with the design of the tower. Making this town microscale with a special edition Tony Stark minifig is cool. I like how the Iron Man armor is just starting to flow across Tony Stark. One hand is red from the armor and the other is a regular hand. It really looks and feels like Tony is getting his armor in that liduid metal way that he does in the movies. Very cool.
I’ve now seen Avengers: Endgame twice and the secodn time was even better than the first. Not the quality of the viewing because last night’s Dolby viewing was spectacular. The thing that made the second time around better was knowing what was coming and feeling the emotional weight of the movie and scenes. This movie brought together everything that has gone on for the past 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’ve seen every single one of the movies that came beforehand, read tons of the comics and so much more. I’ve interviewed actors, producers, directors and even Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige. It was so satisfying to see where this movie took the fans after all this time. I felt a part of the whole experience and seeing the storylines wrapped up for some characters while new storylines starting for others it makes me excited for the next ten years.
The next step for me is to rewatch all the movies with Eva. She already enjoys some of the later movies but to find out about where the stories began with Iron Man will be so cool to see it all again through her eyes. Then, when Andrew is older I’ll watch them with him. He isn’t as interested right now with the movies.
One very sad thing was that this movie had Stan Lee’s last cameo ever. It is also a very fitting one as well.
