I was in Target today and as I walked up the aisles to find the Kind Bars I saw a box of Lucky Charms. The box showed Lucky depicted as Green Lantern. So I walked over and picked it up. There are five different General Mills cereals that have images of Justice League characters on them. I hadn’t realized it while in the store. So I’ll have to be on the lookout for Honey Nut Cheerios, Coco Puffs, Trix and Multigrain Cheerios. Inside the boxes are 4 different comic books. They are some decent comics, too. It will be fun to read them with Andrew.
I saw Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE while out in California a couple of weeks ago. I was there on an all expense paid trip by Walt Disney Studios to view the movie and interview the cast. Now that the movie has hit theaters I can finally give you my full review. I will do my best to not reveal any spoilers from the movie. I think I’ve been pretty good about not doing that in the past, especially when I saw movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron in a similar fashion. This was my third Marvel movie trip and it was awesome. I was able to see the movie and interview Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Benedict Wong and director Scott Derrickson. Each gave some great information about the movie, their motivations and insight into their characters. I have interviews posted for each of them.
I’m crediting my friend Becky with giving me the idea to do a giveaway of my extra Marvel Collector Corps Doctor Strange Box. I somehow ended up with two of them and because of that I have one to give away. The giveaway is open to people in the U.S. Only (Sorry, shipping fees). Here is what is inside the box.
a Doctor Strange Mug
a Levitating in Astral Form Doctor Strange Bobble Head
a Doctor Strange exclusive comic book cover
a Doctor Strange Patch
an Eye of Agamotto pin
a Doctor Strange Tshirt

A new poster for Doctor Strange has surfaced. This time it is Doctor Strange in LEGO Form. He is at the window of the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York with the cloak of Levitation flying out behind him ready to protect our world from mystical dangers. I love it when LEGO does these posters, they are always so fun. I also love adding humor to these serious characters. Here’s a funny video of Doctor Strange assessing the injuries of characters from Captain America: Civil War.
DOCTOR STRANGE opens in theatres everywhere on November 4th!
I also wanted to direct you to a brand-new website MarvelStudiosHeroActs.com. Fans will be able to visit the site to upload their photo and choose from a selection of custom Marvel-themed overlays. They will then be able to post their photo directly to the Hero Acts gallery and to their other social channels using the hashtags #marvelstudios #heroacts.

Marvel Studios to donate up to $1 million in recognition of new charitable initiative
When I attended the Doctor Strange Press Junket last week, I was one of 25 bloggers there for Walt Disney Studios (Disclosure: All-Expenses Paid), the first person that we interviewed was the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Benedict Cumberbatch. Talk about a guy who lights up a room. When he came in and sat down he commented on the toys laid out in front of him. One of them being my Doctor Strange Funko Pop!. Benedict certainly had charm and he had everyone at the table enthralled, myself included, in his stories. While we only had him with us for 20 minutes he was completely present during that time and answered each of our questions and then took some photos with us. I don’t know how it worked out this time around but I was actually near the person we were interviewing in almost every photo. I’m standing there right behind Benedict in the photo above. And here he is with those toys I was talking about.
When Benedict saw the toys this is what he said about them. His fascination with the toys definitely added to the boyish charm that he had in this interview.
“Wow. Toys R Us. Look at that. It is indeed. I love these Pop! toys. Oh no…I don’t do that in the film. That’s a stunt I don’t do in the film. Yeah, top heavy, definitely. Cloak heavy. There were some cloak heavy moments, definitely cloak heavy moments. Morning everybody.“
Then we got right into it with the questions. Everyone wanted to ask him a question. We let Benedict know that we saw the movie in 3D the night before. He had not seen the movie at that time. He was waiting for the movie to be completely ready for IMAX. That version was not ready at the time when we screened it, but you better believe that the next time I see it will be in IMAX! One rather busy Tuesday today. I’m behind on my Koko Fit Club sessions and can’t fall behind on my 12 X 12 X 12. I doubled up on my strength and cardio this morning and have to do it again on Thursday. I was pretty wiped afterward but it was really satisfying. Andrew and I had lunch and then I worked up a post for tomorrow, it is an interview with Benedict Cumberbatch from last week’s #DoctorStrangeEvent.
While I worked on my post Andrew had a nice little nap on the couch. He was looking sleepy and rather than make him go to his room I let him have his time on the couch. He was already sleepy and wrapped up in his puppy dog blanket. When I was done with my post I snuck upstairs to take a quick nap. Twenty minutes of shuteye and Andrew was waking me up before I knew it.
His little nap must have done some good. He was really focused in karate this afternoon. So much so that the Sensei and Mr. Jacob both came up to tell him how well he was doing today. They were really impressed and I was very proud of him.
When we got home Eva, Andrew and I played some 5-Minute Dungeon. This is a game that I’ll be reviewing tomorrow. It was so much fun. I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow in a full review. You can find out more information at 5-Minute Dungeon and their Kickstarter starts on November 1, 2016.
I flew out to California today for a couple of days interviewing people for various media events. I’m here to screen the movie Doctor Strange and interview some of the cast. I’m also going to learn master Pumpkin Carving Techniques to celebrate the release of Finding Dory on Bluray. I’ll help the Bachelor look for love when I interview Ben and Lauren from “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?”. I’m also going to learn about giant robots with Mech X4, a new show on Disney XD.
While here I was able to catch up with Mike Schmidt of The 40 Year Old Boy podcast. We hung out for a while and talked. I was about to find a few fun toys at Hot Topic. I found the Ahsoka Tano exclusive Pop figure and also the Doctor Strange and Kaecilius ones. For tonight;s activities we went to the Saddle Ranch Chop House for some tasty food and fun watching people ride the Mechanical Bull. I did not ride it. However, Melissa of The-Mommyhood-Chronicles.com did and I captured it on today’s vlog.
You know already that I am going to be going to California to be part of the #DoctorStrangeEvent. During that trip I will see the upcoming DOCTOR STRANGE movie and I really, really, really hope that I will get to interview DOCTOR STRANGE himself, Benedict Cumberbatch. I know that when I announced it many of my friends were excited as well and they have lots of questions for him. I even went out today and got a pretty sweet DOCTOR STRANGE tshirt to wear for the interviews.
But before that amazing trip I wanted to share with you something also amazing. Marvel Studios is running their very first Hero Acts charitable initiative through Fotition. You and I can help raise 1 Million Dollars because Marvel Studios will donate $5 to Save the Children for every fan who uploads a photo of themselves in their favorite Marvel hero pose. So, here is mine – see above. And below is the full Press Release and also a video from Benedict Cumberbatch.

Getting super excited about the upcoming #DoctorStrangeEvent, I went out and found the DOCTOR STRANGE Funko Pop. This one is the classic DOCTOR Strange figure but there will be some coming for the DOCTOR STRANGE Movie. I know that those will be pretty awesome and also the upcoming DOCTOR STRANGE Marvel Collector Corps will be amazing as well.
We played lots of LEGO Dimensions today. Andrew and I opened the Ghostbusters Level Pack and played that a bit. When Eva came home she got to open the Harry Potter Team pack and play for a while, too. It was so much fun playing with her, she was so excited to see things around Hogwarts.
Today I built my DOCTOR STRANGE LEGO Set. This is a set that includes DOCTOR STRANGE, Karl Mordo and The Ancient One. Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum features a portal beast with rotating teeth, moving eyes and tentacles that can trap minifigures, shelves for mystical artifact accessories, levitation effect for 2 minifigures, and levitation function for Doctor Strange’s cloak. It was a great one to put together and it has gotten me super excited for what is coming for me in two weeks. Watch today’s vlog to find out more!
