Review: Jem and the Holograms

Jem And The HologramsTomorrow Jem and the Holograms hit the shelves in two DVDs. There is the Season one DVD with all 26 season 1 episodes and then there is the Truly Outrageous complete series set of DVDs with all 65 of the episodes of the series. I was given the season one set to review and Eva and I watched a couple of episodes together.

Jem was one of those shows that came out around the time when the Transformers and G.I. Joe were on the air. In fact they were a Hasbro product and the creation of the series was a collaboration of Hasbro, Marvel productions and Sunbow, the same team that did Transformers and G.I. Joe. So, yeah, I watched it. I always had a thing for Jerrica Benton’s little sister Kimber, the redhead keyboardist and songwriter of the band, the Holograms. Review: The AVENGERS: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!

Superhero movies are top box office movies these days and I’m completely behind that trend. But as a kid I did not have movies of superheroes to watch, I had cartoons. I’ve been a cartoon fan for years and years. Many of my favorites had to do with superheroes and action. I’m totally jealous over the great superhero cartoons that kids today have access to watching.
