Involving The Family
Photo-A-Day #1460

Before Blogs, Brews and Belly Laughs I, I contacted ZINK Imaging about possibly getting some ZINK paper. What I got was two Polaroid PoGos and a ton of ZINK paper. ZINK means Zero Ink and this paper is marvelous stuff. For one thing it slightly smaller than a business card and it has a sticky backing. What I did at BBBL was take photos with people using my XShot and a custom timer on my Canon SD800is. Then I would print the best image out on ZINK paper. I would then peel off the backing of the ZINK paper and stick that to my business cards and give that to the people that I met.

Here is why this is a good idea.

1. Taking a photo with someone creates that shared experience.

2. While the photo prints – about a minute or so you can give that person your elevator pitch.

3. The person walks away with your business card and a unique experience sure to make them remember who you are.

Here’s what I mean

I’ll certainly be using my ZINK paper, Xshot and PoGo printer at Blogs, Brews and Belly Laughs II.

Day 1 -31DBBB – Write an Elevator Pitch

Today’s task in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge is to write an elevator pitch for your blog.

This blog has certainly lost its direction. I intend to get it back in this 31 day challenge. I’m also doing the challenge on BenSpark.com

Here is my elevator pitch for Read To Me, Dad.

Children love to be read to, and by doing this parents help their kids develop a love of reading themselves. Read to Me, Dad reads and reviews various children’s books and offers parents suggestions for the best books for them and their kids.
