The Duck Pond at Sunset

Photo-A-Day #3372

We went to the Cape today. Eva and Andrew came down with me while Allison had a hair appointment. The kids were good on the ride and were excited to get to the Cape. We had a nice afternoon and spent some time at the beach. The night was capped with dinner outside on the patio and then a walk around the block and by the beach. We walked by the “Duck Pond” up the street. I was trying to catch a little of the sunset reflected on the water because where we are located is great for sunrises but terrible for sunsets. You have to drive way to the other side of Falmouth the get a good sunset photo. Maybe I’ll catch one during this trip. Maybe not since the forecast is for rain and the Fourth of July fireworks have already been moved to the 6th of July. I hope that it works out and we get to enjoy them this year.

Each year kids recite poems, do songs and tell jokes. Eva even wanted to be first to perform. I was beside myself when she got up there so confidently in her recital costume, Captain America Shield and a cute star headband. She did a fantastic job! Continue reading Happy Fourth of July 2012
