Today was a tough Friday for me. Tough only because I wasn’t able to sneak in a nap. In addition to everything I tried before getting home I tried one more thing and Andrew and I snuggled up into my bed to watch some cartoons. Laying down did not get him to fall asleep. Nope, instead it seemed to make him even more awake, or rather make me more sleepy. More about it in the vlog and then below that I have the 2016 slate of movies coming from Disney.
It looks like another big year for Disney and their slate of movies. More animation with Zootopia, Finding Dory and Moana. Reviving older titles with some remakes with The Jungle Book and Pete’s Dragon. Adapting a popular children’s book with The BFG and more Marvel action with Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. If you are clamoring for new Star Wars but don’t want to wait till 2018 for Episode VIII then in December you can see Rogue One, a story set in the Star Wars Universe that takes place between episodes III and IV. I received a digital code for MARVEL’s Avengers: Age of Ultron so that I could watch and review it. I have seen this movie a few times so far including watching it on my birthday back in April. But wait, the movie came out in May you say. Yes, I had the unique pleasure to be one of the first people to screen the movie and then I got the chance to interview many people from the cast and also director Joss Whedon and MARVEL President Kevin Feige. Here are links to all those interviews.
I have a series of Interviews with the cast and crew of MARVEL’s Avengers: Age of Ultron at the #AvengersEvent back in April.
I had also written a review of the movie. That was my impression of the movie after I saw it for the first time. I’m very familiar with the movies and the comics so I was able to catch all of the references that happen in the movies. Even though I got all the references I still enjoyed the bonus feature on the Digital Movies Anywhere extras called The Infinite Six and Connecting the Universe. These are excellent extras for the viewers who aren’t as familiar with the rich history of the Marvel Universe.
