We lock the gate to keep Andrew in the back yard when he goes out to play. He doesn’t quite see it the same way. Andrew is a little monkey and he climbs up the gate to unlock it for himself. I was getting him something out of the garage and the next thing I know is that the he’s standing next to me. I had locked the gate and he decided that it was more important to be in the garage. What am I gonna do with this kid. He;s super smart and a major imp.

App Alert: Thup Games launches Monkey Preschool Fix-It

When I was at the Battroborg Settle the Score event in New York I met Rich, Rich works with companies that produce kids games for iOS. He sent me a loaner iPad 2 loaded up with a couple of games for me to try out and review. Opinions of the games are 100% my own.
The first game that I tried out was Monkey Preschool Fix-It. This is a good app for kids who are old enough to know how to use the iPad. If they know how to drag items across the screen and press and keep their fingers pressed to the screen then they will enjoy playing this game and learning how to identify shapes, letters and how to match puzzles. My son is nearly two and he does not use our iPad that often so I had to hold his finger to the screen to get him to move things around. He was delighted by the monkey and his antics but he’s just too young to get any real benefit from the game at this time. Eva is older and she already knows how to identify everything that comes up in the app so she moved on quickly. Although, she did say that the monkey was cute. Aeromax’s My 1st Career Gear Review – Zookeeper
Eva and I received an Aeromax My 1st Career Gear Zookeeper outfit to try out and review (Opinions are 100% our own). We live around the corner from a zoo. Capron Park Zoo is our favorite zoo to visit and Eva is an expert on all the animals in the zoo. We finally had a nice day to go and visit the zoo so Eva got into her Aeromax zookeeper outfit and took me on a tour of the entire zoo. I made a video of our adventure.

Smaller than Small: Squinkies Zinkies Review

I received three Squinkies Zinkies packages to play with and review. Zinkies are the newest in the very prolific Squinkies line of toys. I became a fan of Squinkies when they started producing a Marvel line of figures. I then bought some of the hot wheels figures and for Eva I bought her the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast Squinkies. She even has a set of Toy Story Squinkies as well. I love to display mine on my desk at work and across the top of my monitor. Eva likes to play with hers and act out parts of the movies.
With Squnkies Zinkies the small sized toys got even smaller and now come with little playsets to place the toys within and also included in the playsets are tweezers and a magnifying glass. Even with the small size there is still a decent amount of detail on the figures and they are cute to display. I gave Eva the choice of one of the sets to open. She chose the Tweetings Birdhouse. This one comes with cute little puppies, an alligator, a monkey, kitties and birds. There are 12 figures and they are all pretty cute and fun. Eva enjoys them. You can learn more about them below Continue reading Smaller than Small: Squinkies Zinkies Review
Super Cuddly Monkey
I was inspired to shoot this photo by one I saw from Phil Price. No, mine is not as amazingly sharp as his and my target is stuffed but it was more the portrait aspect of the shot. I saw Phil’s Portrait of a Squirrel on twitter and He has one of the best looking and most functionall photoblogs I’ve ever seen.
Shock the Moneky
Sometimes you just see something that catches your eyes and is intriguing. I generally don’t like much of the art in the buildings at work but I was in a new room for the 1st time and saw this little monkey sitting on a shelf. Well, I had to photograph it. Doesn’t it look like it wants to get up off the shelf and walk around.
