Be A Team Player with foneGEAR Cell Phone Cases Contest

I was given this SocialSpark opportunity to test out some foneGEAR products and participate in the Be A Team Player with foneGEAR Contest. For this I was give $100 in credit to purchase 3 items from foneGEAR and I only spent $49.97 to get them all. I started looking through the site to find my three items. Site navigation is easy and the site loads quickly. Selecting products is simple and the cart interface is also great, checkout was a breeze.

I searched through the foneGEAR site for some other cell phone cases and there were so many to choose from. One item that I wanted was an NFL Phone case with my favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots. The case that I got is very nice. It has a belt clip that can easily be put on and taken off my belt. The team logo looks fantastic.

I found that case quickly and began searching for other products. I decided that I didn’t need another case but wanted some accessories instead, so I looked around for things that would work with my LG EnV phone. I found a sync cable so that I could upload and download photos and music easily. This cable was only $16.99. This was much better than when I bought the cable from Verizon because that purchase cost me nearly $30. I should have tried foneGEAR first. I got a great deal as well on a phone charger. The charger has tips for all the LG phones including a tip for my EnV and that was only $19.99. Did I mention that the cell phone case itself was inexpensive also at $12.99. Here is a photo I took of all the items I got from foneGEAR.

My foneGEAR products

I looked again today at other cell phone cases and saw that they had even more items than I saw on my first order which, by the way, arrived super quick. Many cases are sports based and they include NCAA teams, NBA teams, NFL teams, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ and also the PBR (Professional Bull Riders. I looked through all of those and even found some other options like foneGIRL, foneSTAR and Raza, these are cases manufactured by foneGEAR. I didn’t realize it but foneGEAR has been in this business since 2003 and have over 500 products for mobile life. They also have team themed laptop cases, iPod cases and even earphones. The list of products that foneGEAR has is pretty extensive and they have products that fit all aspects of the mobile lifestyle.

When I need cell phone equipment in the future my first stop will be foneGEAR because of their great prices and selection. Right now they are offering 20% off their merchandise and free shipping on orders over $35.00. I hope that they have products soon for the Motorola Droid because that is the phone I am lusting after at the moment.

Can’t Stop the ‘Boosted’ Signal

I have stuck by the notion that I am smart enough to program a VCR so why would I need a DVR. There have been many incidents with the VCR.

1. Taped the wrong channel. (I swear Channel 4 was NBC, back in 1985)
2. Taped over a saved program. (Who labels the tape)
3. Power went out and reset the channels. (Autoprogram had to be run again)
4. Forgot to set the VCR. (Did you set the VCR, No, Did You?)
5. VCR tape was full (What do you mean one tape won’t last 2 weeks)

Waiting a MomentSo it was decided that we would get a DVR cable box. This way we could see all the stations that we like in HD plus we could have a DVR to automatically record every episode of shows that we want to see. The VCR becomes a backup when we are overloaded with TV shows on the same night (i.e. Monday)

You may have noticed that I’ve been having some trouble with our cable signal for the past week or so. I tried all sorts of things, I even called ComCast to schedule an appointment to look at the line. But I promptly canceled that service call because searched for and found an inexpensive way to fix the problem. The problem was the signal. The signal was way to weak to power all the TV’s, HD, Wi-Fi and Digital feeds. So the signal needed to be boosted. I searched for Signal Booster and I found the Motorola 484095-001-00 Signal Booster. The product is $35, a steal for the signal boost it gave us.

Every TV in the house looks better and the response time changing channels has also improved dramatically. For example the Sci-Fi Channel was practically snow on our bedroom TV. Now it is very clear and actually watchable. In the living room, where we installed the DVR, we finally have HD and it is awesome.

The worst part is that now I want a larger TV. Doh!
