I have never had a tour of a TV show’s set before. I had been to see a taping of a show when I was eighteen. It was The Golden Palace, a Golden Girls spin-off. I remember laughing like crazy. Last week I got to tour the set of the ABC Family TV show, Mystery Girls starring Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. Getting a look behind the scenes was quite a different experience than the one I had at eighteen. There were still a lot of laughs but also an understanding of the amount of hard work that goes into making a TV show.

This past week I was on an all expense paid blogger trip sponsored by ABC Family (#ABCFamilyEvent, #MysteryGirls, #YoungandHungry, #ChasingLife), Disney (#GuardiansOfTheGalaxyEvent, #BigHero6) and DreamWorks (#100FootJourneyEvent). The opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine unless of course they are a direct quote of someone else.

I had become familiar with the show, Mystery Girls, because of this trip. I watched all the episodes and the night before our tour we watched the pilot episode at the ABC Studios. A Day at the Disney Studios

Photo-A-Day #3387

Today was a complete whirlwind. I started the morning climbing the hill with my friend Chris. We went up to the Universal City Walk to take a look around and to have a couple of Jamba Juices. There is no Jamba Juice near where Chris lives. I haven;t had one since I used to traveled a lot. They were good.

We got back to the hotel and then it was time for roundtable discussions with the stars of ABC Family shows, Young and Hungry and chasing Life. Everyone that we spoke with was very very nice and they even let us take some photos.

After our breakfast we loaded up into a shuttle to the CBS Studios lot to see the TV show Mystery Girls get taped and tour the set and meet the stars of the show.

We finished off our afternoon and evening at Walt Disney Studios. We met some more ABC Family stars and then we screened the movie ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY. IT was a really cute movie which comes out on Eva’s 7th birthday. I’ll be writing a review of that in the future.

and then it was back to the hotel.
