LOZ BOTW: Mastering DLC Pack 1

Playing Legend of Zelda
Photo-A-Day #4462

I am enjoying the Legend of Zelda DLC Pack 1. With it you get a whole bunch of new armor that you have to find throughout the world and a whole bunch of new challenges. The most important challenge for me is the Sword Trials. This is old school gaming at its best. I say old school because there are no breaks and there is no way to save your progress. Also, if you die you start all over. It is frustrating but I do like a challenge. With 45 separate floors or challenges broken up into 3 fifteen floor sets there is a lot of work to be done.

You start the floors with nothing. You only have the abilities that you have mastered with you Sheikah Slate. The Sheikah Slate is a magical tablet that grants you different powers like generating bombs, stopping time and mastery over magnetic items. With it you can get started picking off bad guys. You have to find everything you can as you go through the floors to help you through all the trials. It has been fun to do and I made it through the first 15 so far. I hope that I can work through the rest of them to upgrade my sword. Then I will attempt to play the game on the hard or master level.

Legend of Zelda, GLOW on Netflix #StreamTeam and Water Drop Lilies

The lilies in our yard have finally started blooming. We have a bunch of them in the yard. There is a large concentration of them in a spot where we buried the cats. Eva and Andrew want me to dig them (the lilies) up when if and when we move. Probably because we have told the kids that the cats are now part of the lilies and so we take the lilies, we take the cats.

On the Legend of Zelda front I am .09% away from being 100% complete. The thing is, I have no idea exactly where I have to go to find the last location. I have gone through the interactive map and still can’t find the missing location. So now I’ve printed out all of the locations and will have to do a checklist to find what I am missing. I’m trying to get this all done before next Friday when the DLC pack comes out with even more things to do in Hyrule.

I just finished watching a new Netflix series called GLOW. It is a half hour comedy about the creation of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling or GLOW. The show is so full of 80’s Easter Eggs. References to everything from leotards and leg warmers to Back to the Future. There is even a training montage complete with Stan Bush’s “Dare”. The show stars Allison Brie and Marc Maron and is very cheesy but funny at the same time. I do hope that there will be a second season because I’d like to know where things go next.
