PBS Kids – ARTHUR Stands Up to Bullying

I’ll tell you straight out, I don’t watch Arthur. The kids don’t watch it either. Not often as far as I know. We may have seen one or two episodes but I think it is for kids who are a bit older than Eva and Andrew. I do hear that it is a good show and they tackle many different issues that kids are going through. A big issue that is being talked about everywhere right now is Bullying. For Arthur’s Spring Premiere Week there will be two episodes about Bullying. One will be on May 6 and the second on May 10. Please see the Press Release below and the video preview for more info.

Curious George Swings Into Spring: Earth Day Special

Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat
® & © 2013 Universal Studios and/or HMH. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. PBS KIDS ® Public Broadcasting Service. FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY

We received a screener and activity pack for the upcoming Curious George Swings into Spring (Official Press Release Link) one hour Earth Day Special that will air on PBS on Monday April 22, 2013. Of all the Curious George screeners I’ve received I am most impressed by this special. In the show Spring has arrived and George is feeling Spring Fever. The Man in the Yellow Hat takes him to the park and shows him many signs of Spring arriving. George wants to share that with Hundley the doorman’s dog but Hundley isn’t enjoying any of it. Through a series of events Hundley goes with George and the Man in the Yellow Hat to the country. There Hundley is even more unhappy, he misses the order of the apartment building and doesn’t like Spring. Eventually Hundley learns to enjoy everything about Spring.

In the activity pack there were some fun Earth Day/Curious George Activities. The activity pack contained the materials that you can print out as well and also a few extra things like sunflower seeds for the bird feeder, tomato seeds, pencils, crayons and chopsticks. I’ll give those items to Eva on Earth Day so we can do the activities like make a bird feeder. You can download the paper materials and instructions below (Links go off site).

Disclosure: I received a screener and activity pack for this special so that I could try it out and review it. I am a PBS Kids VIP (Very Involved Parent). Opinions are 100% my own.
