When I think of Fall I think of the funky gourds that are everywhere. I didn’t get a chance to get out and take photos around the house today but I stopped at Lambert’s Rainbow Fruit on the way to work tonight and snapped this photo.
I thought that I wouldn’t like the structure of a photo a day challenge as I’ve been doing a photo-a-day for over seven years. What I have found, though, is that it helps me when I’m not feeling particularly creative. So, as I rode along to work I thought of the different places I could stop and capture Fall. Fall really is all about the color orange, pumpkins and more. Pumpkin gets into everything during Fall and I love it. We buy weird looking gourds to decorate the house for no real reason but they look weird.
Fall is my favorite season. Not because of the leaves falling that I have to rake or the switch to using the heat in the house (not quite yet) and having the gas bill go from $23 to $300 (that’s in the height of winter). No, I like Fall because I can finally stop walking around drenched in sweat. I love the cool weather. I love it. I love being able to actually use covers in the bed instead of sleeping on top of it trying to keep cool. I also love Halloween and can’t wait to see the kids enjoying that holiday this year. Fall is also the season when the kid’s birthdays happen and that is wonderful in and of itself. Continue reading It’s Fall, It’s Fall, I Love It All→
