About a year ago I was an ambassador for YesVideo. I traveled out to California and had a great time working with other bloggers and the YesVideo team. Everyone was terrific to work with. so, when I was asked to try out a brand new feature from YesVideo I was happy to do so and tell you about it.
Now you can share chapters of your movies on your blog through the embed feature. You don’t have to link elsewhere to let your readers see the movies that you want to share.
One of the home movies that I sent to YesVideo to get converted to DVD was an old one from the first time that I learned to ski. I was thirteen. My sisters already knew how to ski because they would go every year. While they opted for downhill skiing with Dad I went cross country skiing with my Mom. I was nervous about downhill skiing and not that confident in my ability but I decided to try it. Continue reading Now You Can Embed YesVideo Chapters into a Blog Post→
Today I went on a tour of YesVideo along with the other YesVideo Bloggers. Our tour was part informational part Easter Egg Hunt. The team hid some eggs at various stops along our tour. I’ve toured the facility before and was even more impressed this time around. Continue reading Easter Egg Hunt at YesVideo→
Last May I went to San Jose California to tour the YesVideo offices and have a Big Kid Play Date with a bunch of great bloggers. I was asked back as a blogger ambassador and flew back to San Jose today to have a second Big Kid Play Date. This time around we went to Dave and Busters, and Maggianos again but instead of outdoor go-karting we did an indoor track and also some Rocking’ Bowling. It was a fun action packed day with some great people! Continue reading YesVideo Big Kid Play Date TWO→
You’d think that with all the photos I take that something would appear on our walls but no, we just have not put anything up on the walls of the new house yet, except for one painting and some of these Skylanders coloring pages. I occasionally will color an elemental team for Eva’s wall. She colors some herself as well and we have more to put up. I love coloring in these teams because coloring is so relaxing and a way to be creative. Continue reading On The Wall→
Went outside today to look for flowers to photograph because today’s theme was flowers for the YesVideo photo-a-day challenge. I found these crocuses peeking up through the leaves on the side of the house. I love seeing them popping up all over at the start of Spring.
I’ve been trying to keep up with the YesVideo Photo-A-Day challenge. Today’s theme was Taking it Easy. I spent the day sleeping so that was taking it easy but I didn’t photograph anything until I got to work. This photo is so staged. Tomorrow I’ll have a decent photo. Allison and I are going to take a Sushi class.
Today’s theme for the YesVideo Photo-A-Day Challenge was classic. I collect Transformers and they are over 25 years old and that makes them classic. A few years ago a figure came out that was an homage to my very first figure, WheelJack. I’ve picked up every version of WheelJack that I’ve been able to find.
Today’s theme for the March Photo-A-Day Challenge from YesVideo was Mustache. I thought that maybe I’d get the kids with fake mustaches or something like that but ran out of time. I was in a completely different building tonight for work and at the desk I was working from there was a mustache ring on the person’s computer. I thought, how fortuitous. So I snapped a quick shot of this funky ring.
When my kids get older the amount of photos that they will have of themselves is going to be staggering. When I was a kid my Dad took a ton of photos, my uncle as well but because they were using film being able to take a lot of photos and keep the best ones was virtually impossible. Lucky for me my Dad is a very good photographer and he captured special family moments all the time. I am lucky that I learned photography from him. I try to capture those simple special moments with my own family.
Here are some of my tips for capturing those special moments.
Pressed for time on the way to work looking for a neon sign. Where would I find a good sign? A Liquor store would have a bunch of great neon signs and if I still lived where we did a few years ago I would have passed 5 before I hit he highway but this is not the case now. I finally decided to snap the next place I could find with a neon sign and that was a Panda Express in a strip mall. I think the Open sign is the most cliche of them all. But that was all I could find. So I tried to make it a decent one.
