I’ve always been a fan of mythology. Greek, Roman, Native American, Norse and more. The rich stories of mythology have been inspirations for stories in movies and comic books forever. The stories translate well because they are colorful and so full of amazing characters. The Norse god Thor and Loki are two such characters. In the Marvel comic book series Thor and Loki are brothers, sons of Odin. In the mythos of Marvel Thor is the son of Odin and Loki is the adopted son of Odin, or rather the son that was stolen from the frost giants and raised as the son of Odin. In terms of “Blood Brothers” from the title the blood is from the battles between Thor and Loki and how Loki conquers Thor and subjugates all of Asgard. Review: Transformers Headmasters – The Japanese Collection
When I was a kid I collected Transformers and I have been doing so ever since. The Transformers Headmasters came around late in the end of the G1 run. There was a four issue mini-series in the comics and I think that eventually those characters made it to the regular Marvel comic. there were also a line of toys for the Headmasters and sadly I don’t have a single one of them.
This happened around the time when my interest in Transformers waned a bit and also with the end of the television cartoon and the end of the comic book series. However over in Japan they continued to make cartoons and that included 35 episodes of Headmasters cartoons. Continue reading Review: Transformers Headmasters – The Japanese Collection
