I woke up wicked late today but found that my Star Wars Rebels Smuggler’s Bounty box had arrived and so I made two different videos about it. One unboxing for this channel and one over at Big Damn Kid. I have never done that before and I wonder which one people will like more.
The box itself has so many fantastic things inside including a great shirt with the whole crew of The Ghost plus three figures a nice patch and pin, too. I did make a mistake in the video saying that the pop was of a younger Darth Maul, it is of an older Maul.
I decided to take the Gear 360 out for a run today. Test run, that is. I decided to make today’s vlog with the camera and see what I could do with it. So far I only know how to do a single shot but eventually I hope to be able to be able to put multiple shots together. I have some software for editing the videos so it might be able to allow me to put them together and when they upload to YouTube they still work like 360 videos.
So, this is today’s first attempt and I think it came out pretty good overall.
So far I think that Samsung made this camera thing so smooth and slick because they figured that people would easily drop it and I feel like that is going to happen to me. The little tripod is also very smooth. There is a hand strap that you can attach to the tripod so I think I’ll be using that to keep from dropping this easily drop-able camera ball.
I received a box from Smuggler’s Bounty and it was the Jabba’s Palace Box. I unboxed it with a bunch of other things in a major unboxing video back in July. It did not have the Boba Fett Plush that was in this box. I checked on the tracking number and couldn’t figure out why I ended up with it again. I’m supposed to get a couple of Smuggler’s Bounty Boxes soon, one for being at Boss Level and the other is the Hoth Box.

Since I wasn’t going to unbox that a second time I showed some items that I found on Target Clearance including some Vs Rip Spin Warriors. I found Leonardo and Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as Spider-Man. I’m going to look for the battle set and Superman and Batman, too. I also from a couple of Rescue Bot items on clearance as well. Each thing was less than $1.50.
I got a great deal on the Skylanders Imaginators Starter pack for PS4 with Crash Bandicoot and Doctor Neo Cortex. The whole thing cost me less than it would to get their two pack and I also got Golden Queen and King Pen. I already had their Dark Edition figures.
Tonight I shot some video while filming a couple of episodes for shows that I do with my friend Brian. We now shoot SteamDads – http://www.steamdads.com and Brian’s show Built from Bricks. You will have to watch to see what we built.
I can’t believe that I filmed four shows today. My two shows and the two shows that I collaborate on. A busy day for YouTube, just from me.
Oh and when I got home from Brian’s I dropped my secondary phone. It still works but the screen is wicked cracked. I now have packing tape on it.
When I came home today I went right to the office and opened my Smuggler’s Bounty: Rogue One box. This was one of my favorite boxes from Smuggler’s Bounty. Inside there were two Pop figures, a T-Shirt, a Pin, a Patch and a Mini Hikari statue. The shirt is awesome. It has the cast on it with the Death Star looming in the background. Darth Vader is also there. One of the Pops is an exclusive Jyn Erso one with goggles on top of her head. The other exclusive Pop is a Death Trooper holding a rifle. The box rounds out with a Darth Vader Mini Hikari figure which came in multiple colors. I got a black one. The patch was of Captain Cassian Andor and the pin was of K-2S0. Today was Farm Day at Andrew’s school. This was our fourth and final farm day. It is kinda sad in that way. I have enjoyed being able to go to each Farm day that the kids have had. I’ve been very lucky in that respect. Farm Day is a day where all the kids get to play games, ride ponies, pet baby animals, make pumpkins and more. They start off with a farm breakfast of sausage and biscuits. Then parents come and the kids and parents go to all the stations.
You can see what it is like in my vlog today. I don’t know what happened with the sound in a few places. I must have covered a microphone or something.
My Star Wars Smuggler’s Bounty box arrived yesterday. I was walking out the door on the way to work and it was there on the porch. So, I was unable to open it yesterday but today I got to unbox it. I did one of my one minute unboxings, well, 1 minute 13 seconds but I tried to get it to a minute. This seems to be a good amount of time to show you everything in the box. I know that I can wax poetic on these things but am finding that the shorter I go on YouTube the better.
The box was a good one with two Pop figures plus a nice tshirt featuring Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. The Patch has Darth Vader and the pin has one of the Emperor’s Royal Guard Storm Troopers on it. The special extra item is a Death Star Luggage Tag. This is the first Funko Luggage tag that was created. Also of note on the Grand Moff Tarkin Pop figure his head sculpt is different to show his sunken cheeks. The Darth Vader pop is really good with his doing a force choke move.
I went back over the things that I had talked about yesterday in my lost footage. Mostly they were books, toys and games that I had either been sent or had purchased. I had gone to Target this past week and I picked up the Nintendo 3DS game Chibi Robo which came with the Chibi Robo amiibo character. This originally went for $39.99 but I got it for $11 which is a good price for an amiibo character and game. This will work with my new Nintendo 3Ds XL that I won last month. It looks like a cute little side scrolling game, too.
I also show the two Hot Wheels 5-Packs that I picked up. There was a Captain america Civil War 5-Park and a Batman V. Superman 5-Pack. While I like the Marvel one better the DC one wasn’t half bad and had a decent looking Superman car in it, too. That is a good thing since almost all the other Superman ones are terrible.
I also show some of the new Elena of Avalor books that Disney Publishing sent me. they send me books all the time to read and review. These are nice ones that will be on shelves October 18. One book is already in stores, the Felize Navidad one.
I have today off but still had to get some sleep after working last night. I went to the gym to try and get the rest of my 12 X 12 X 12 taken care of for July. I now have 11 done. So after some sleep I took care of opening a few of those boxes that I had gotten while we were away at Great Wolf Lodge. Some from Suite Sweet and Blogger Bash. A Couple others from sponsors that I have worked with over the years and one from PBS Kids.

Tongiht we went to New Hampshire to enjoy Allison’s 20th High School Reunion. while she caught up with her friends I caught up with one of her best friend’s husband. We bonded over the upcoming Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition. This will have 30 classic games installed. Many of them I placed with over and over as a kid. The reunion was nice and we had a great time. After that we stayed at our friend’s Michele and Bob. Kept us from having to drive up and back in one night.
My Smuggler’s Bounty box arrived yesterday and it was themed Bounty Hunter. So inside were items for the bounty hunters including the most famous one, Boba Fett. The Boba Fett figure is awesome. It is Fett is in the air with his jetpack firing. The base is fire and smoke. The second figure is of IG-88. I mistakenly called him I6-88 because the T-Shirt looks very much like a 6 instead of a G. The pin was of Bossk and the patch was of Boba Fett, too. The T-Shirt shows five of the bounty hunters. More in the vlog.
After so many weeks of working on it bit by bit, the office is now clean and ready for my in-laws to come and stay with us. I also went through one of the desk drawers. I had been stashing things there over and over without really organizing it. I took some time to organize the drawer and was able to put together some of the patches and pins that I’d collected from Marvel Collector Corps and Smuggler’s Bounty. I’m not sure if I put the right pins with the right patches or in the right order in which I received them. I should probably figure that out and then find a way in which to display them.
