Today was Space Day at Andrew’s school. This is one of the most fun days for the kids when they are in the Pre-K class. They have over a week of learning about Space. The school goes all out for this day. The walls are covered with the kids’ artwork including constellations, planets and more. There are even little constellations that were made with toilet paper tubes. Then there are space themed games and astronaut foods. Andrew enjoyed the food very much. He couldn’t get enough of the Astronaut Ice Cream.
While I was at the PBS Annual Meeting I learned about the new show READY JET GO!. There was a breakfast where everyone learned about this new show. On the Tuesday before the PBS Kids VIPS learned about the show with a special session with the show’s creators. They answered questions and posed for photos plus Craig Bartlett sang us some songs from the show and even did an acoustic rendition of the Dinosaur Train theme, he created that show.
I am looking forward to the show for a number of reasons. One big reason is for the interstitials with Dr. Amy Mainzer. I think that she’s going to be a role model for girls.
