Eva is right on the cusp of learning to read. She is interested in reading and we’ve worked together with different apps, different books and more. She’s smart and wants to get reading and I bet many other kids are excited about learning to read as well. PBS Kids has some fun programs happening this summer to help children and their families get reading. I’m doing the iVillage PBS KIDS Summer Reading Community Challenge and that includes a Summer Reading party with Eva’s class at school. I think they are going to love it.

This coming Tuesday I head to Colorado overnight to the PBS Annual Meeting where I will learn about some upcoming shows and get to meet producers of many of the shows that we already love on PBS. I am really looking forward to this.

Here is a Press Release on all that PBS Kids is doing and their partnerships as well. Continue reading Press Release: PBS KIDS Kicks Off Summer Learning with the SUPER WHY! Around the World Adventure

Press Release: PBS KIDS SERIES’ VIEWERSHIP JUMPS 33 PERCENT AMONG CHILDREN 4-8 AND 17 PERCENT WITH 2-5-YEAR-OLDS

It is pretty exciting to see that education based programming like the shows on PBS Kids are starting to gain in viewership. Eva has watched PBS Kids shows since she was one year old. Her favorite is Curious George but she is also a fan of the other three shows mentioned in this press release. She enjoys The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!, Dinosaur Train and Super Why.
