The Macy’s Day Parade is a family tradition in many homes across America. It certainly is one in our home. Watching the parade and seeing the balloons float by is a big thrill. This year a Skylander is joining the ranks of those iconic Macy’s thanksgiving Day balloons. This time around it will be Eruptor the Lava spewing Fire Element Skylander who will be erupting all over the parade route.

To re-create Eruptor’s smoldering physique, artists used more than 40 gallons of florescent paint and five barrels of glitter! The live broadcast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. all time zones on NBC. Here is a sneak peek of the Eruptor balloon.

But Eruptor has been with the game from the beginning and he’ll make an excellent balloon in the parade. There is more information about the parade below. Andrew must have been intrigued because he headed over to it with his finger outstretched. We told him firmly that it was hot and No do not touch.

But, he touched it anyways. He’s testing his limits lately.

And, he learned what hot really meant. His finger touched the glass for a second and he knew hot. You could see it in his face, he knew that he shouldn’t have done that. He was fine, no burn or anything but he gave the fireplace a very wide berth the rest of the day. Continue reading Happy Thanksgiving 2013
