Each Summer we have a special night at the Flying Bridge. Tonight we went there again for our third year in a row. The kids love going there because we can watch the Island Queen come in to port and leave. Then afterwards we go and feed the ducks and take a walk around the harbor.

Dinner was really good. I got the fisherman’s platter, since that is my favorite meal there. Allison got a nice Swordfish and Dad got Halibut. We all tried it out. We also hoarded a bunch of bread for the ducks. We had a ton of it.

After feeding the ducks we went for a little walk and caught photos of the kids and Mom and Dad and our family and Shelby witht he kids as well as Tara with the kids. It was a nice night.

Last summer we went to The Flying Bridge as a family. One big family trip there. This year we were down two folks but were still a large crew. A crew that included four kids under 10 and three of them under 5. They were pretty well behaved overall. They kept, fairly clean as they ate but kids are kids and antics followed.

I think that the people around us were a mite unprepared with how much the kids love the Island Queen. They hopped up on their chairs and shouted to it and waved at the passengers. Twice. While this usually makes me want to crawl under a rock in embarrassment, I was pretty good with it this year. Plus, it makes for a fun video.

After dinner we took a walk along the harbor. We tried to get some good photos of the kids. Family photos, photos of just the kids, the kids with Auntie, the kids with Memere and Grandfather. I think I got a pretty decent one this year of the kids with their grandparents and then the kids on their own, both being silly and having good smiles.

Then we got home and there were more antics. I captured much of it on today’s vlog. Check it out.
