We received multiple packs of ZORBZ Self-Sealing Water Balloons to play with and review. Opinions of these are 100% my own.
I started the day back home and tried to sleep in a bit after seeing ANT-MAN last night. I hit the gym because I am trying to get caught back up for the 12 X 12 X 12 challenge. It is tough when you take the first 10 days off because of vacation. I ran a bunch of errands including going back to the car dealership to get my plates and some oil change coupons because of the trouble I had so far with the leasing process. I also found out that my brand new car does not have remote keyless entry. I detail I missed when test driving the car because I just assumed that since I had that on my 13 year old car it would be something that all cars would have standard. Nope. That one was on me. So after further frustration at the dealership I was ready to cool off with some good old fashioned water balloons and squirt guns.
It was hot and humid on the Cape. I got there late in the day so it didn’t make much sense to go the beach. But the kids could still get wet and cool off with water balloons. Filling and tying water balloons is a chore and a water balloon fight is over almost the moment it starts. Zorbz solves one of those problems. There is no need to tie a ZORBZ water balloon. It is self- sealing. It is actually pretty slick. I made a super quick video about how it works.
I didn’t get the ZORBZ bottle that can be used to fill the balloons but I had an old one from last year’s Father’s Day Water Balloon fight. It worked great, but was a pain to keep pumping up. There was an adapter for a faucet but I wasn’t going to drag water balloons into my mom’s house. Maybe at home. The adapter didn’t work on the outside hose and that one has too much pressure anyway. Even though the water balloons were self-sealing the time ti took to fill them was nearly the same. Some started leaking in the bucket and I had to strategically position them inside so that they did not leak. The website for ZORBZ states that the water balloons are most effective if used withing 20 minutes of filling them. They are made of 100% biodegradable latex. So, I am not sure if the part that self-seals starts to degrade after 20 minutes or not but you need to fill them and use them quickly.
All in all a nice item, once the filling issue is solved for water balloons then I’ll be excited. The faster that gets done, the less crying and whining I have to hear as I am filling up for round two of a water balloon fight.
