Occasionally publishers send me books to read and review. The thing is, I am terrible about getting them done and posting them, however that ends now. With my first review of a new book by Jim Benton called CATWAD : It’s Me. It was sent to me for free to read and review. Opinions are my own.

If I can get my son to read anything it is a miracle. He likes some things but pulling him away from the iPad is often a chore. I gave him my copy of CATWAD by Jim Benton and he immediately took to it and began reading, and laughing. Belly laughs. He loves silliness and this book is right in his wheelhouse. The book is also in the wheelhouse for Andrew’s age group. I read through the book and enjoyed it. There were some moments of laughter for me but I am a bit far removed from the target audience by several years. I did enjoy it though. I especially liked the first sketch between Catwad and his best friend Blurmp. That defines their relationship immediately and lets the reader know the dynamic going forward. You can see more of what I thought in my video review below.

Frozen II Teaser Trailer and Poster – First Look!

Frozen II

I was taking a look at IMDB this morning and saw that the Frozen II tease trailer was out. I had to check it out. There is not much to go on here and it seems very dark overall. There is something happening but I cannot tell what it is. Is Elsa having doubts about her powers. Is the kingdom under attack. What is happening. It also looks like the characters have grown up a bit. This is most noticeable in the look of Kristoff. He looks older, more mature. You can see for yourself in the video below. I look forward to seeing this on Andrew’s birthday. I love that a new Disney animated movie comes out on his birthday each year. It has become a fun family tradition to see it at the Cinema Pub before Thanksgiving.

More about the movie.

From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and producer Peter Del Vecho—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, and the music of Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
