Christmas has returned and at our house Santa was very good to us. For Andrew it was a year of Hot Wheels and Blase and the Monster Machines toys as well as some Playmobil. For Eva it was like a library came and dropped off half their collection. She received a ton of different Star Wars books and she was so excited about that. Santa brought her the original trilogy and then I got a bunch of great books from Disney Publishing about characters like Luke, Han and Leia. There is even a book with stories about Rey, Finn and Poe before The Force Awakens. She also received a book of Everything you need to know about Star Wars. She loves that book.

Christmas morning was at our house. We opened the gifts and had our breakfast on the floor. Allison made homemade cinnamon rolls for our breakfast. We started with our stockings and the kids had some wicked overflowing ones. Santa was barely able to get everything inside. The kids loved what they had inside the stockings. Lots of treats and more. My stocking had some popcorn can popcorn seasonings, prefect for me. Allison also got some tasty treats in her stocking.

When we got to gifts Andrew was excited about a whole bunch of new underwear. The joys of being 4 years old and getting character undies. Allison was happy to receive a couple of adult coloring books from her favorite shows like Game of Thrones and Outlander. I received a new Wii U game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. It came out a long time ago but I found it on clearance and have always wanted to play so I got it. Great story and a fun fighting game.

Around noontime we headed over to my parent’s house to celebrate Christmas with my family. Tara took care of a great meal for everyone and we had a nice time with the cousins and watching everyone open their gifts. Grandpa Rick and Uncle Jim joined us as well.

This year my sisters decided that they would add a cookie decorating contest to the yearly Christmas Day celebration. They made some sugar cookies and got a bunch of candies and frosting for everyone to use for their creations. there were stockings, snowmen and Christmas trees to decorate.

I made mine a character with an ugly sweater and marshmallows for shoes.

It was a very nice day with family.
