This morning when I took Andrew to school this morning he wanted to wear his Christmas hat. He looked quite dapper in it. When I picked Andrew up from school his teacher said that they liked the hat so much that they had to take a photo. Andrew’s also very taken with the Mazda CX-5 that we’ve had this week. He loves the color so much and each morning asks if we are going to take the red car. He has fun riding in it. I find it great for taking him places. I discovered one great feature of the car that is perfect for when Andrew and I go on our errands. Because there is a key FOB for the car it lets you open the doors by touching a button on the door handles. The other feature is that if you have the key FOB in your pocket and you walk away from the car it automatically locks. With my own car, because it requires a key for everything. Everything! It is such a pain to get Andrew out and then lock the car, especially when he is such a little wiggle worm. It makes me nervous in parking lots. So I love that I can just concentrate on getting him out and safe and the car locks itself.
We also had haircuts today. I made sure to stop off and get a coffee to enjoy while he had his cut and I also picked up another one for our hairdresser. I then picked up some cookies from the bakery next door to the salon and a juice box for Andrew. I got him settled in the chair next to mine and he ate his cookie and drank his juice box. He was good most of the time and then he got up to trow away the empty juice box. He fell right on his face and things went downhill from there. He was fine but then he got rambunctious. I forgot the iPad so that he’d have something to do other than just sit there waiting. We were just about finished up with my haircut and Amanda was doing one last touch to my goatee. She backed up and bumped the station next to us. For s split second everything was fine and then it all came crashing down. My coffee, my cookie, Andrew’s hat and jacket and a whole container of bobby pins. Oh man that was crazy to watch. I really wanted that coffee, too.
