Monsters, Inc. came out right after I finished college or rather after I finished my 5 additional years in college after graduation. I spent the year right after graduation as a program assistant and then spent the four years after that as a Residence Hall Director. It is high time that I go back to college. Luckily I was accepted into the Monsters University Orientation Program and will be going back to school this April 8-10. I’ll be learning all about the classes at Monsters University like Scarenomics 101, Advanced Growling and Tether-ball, monsters love tether-ball.
Okay so maybe I won’t be attending Monsters University but I will be flying out to San Francisco to a Blogger Event surrounding the upcoming Pixar movie, Monsters University. Here is the tentative schedule of what I’ll be doing.
April 8th: Arrive into San Francisco and attend a reception that evening at Pixar with footage from MONSTERS UNIVERSITY and a screening of the short film THE BLUE UMBRELLA
April 9th: Attend a press day at Pixar for MONSTERS UNIVERSITY including interviews with Director Dan Scanlon, Producer Kori Rae, animators and a tour of Pixar.
April 10th: Admission into The Walt Disney Family Museum followed by your departure home
I’m looking forward to this trip for a couple of reasons. I enjoyed Monsters, Inc and can’t wait to see Monsters University. I am also a huge fan of Pixar and so many other movies that they have done so visiting Pixar is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. I am looking most forward to seeing where the animators work and interviewing the director and producer of the film. I love learning the behind the scenes of movie making.
I’m also excited about the Walt Disney Family Museum. I’ve been fascinated by Walt Disney my whole life and this family museum sounds amazing.
So follow along on my adventure by following the hashtag #MonstersUEvent and see what I’m doing as well as what the other 24 bloggers on the trip are doing.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I am going on an expenses paid trip for this media event. As always opinions are 100% my own.
Wow, I’m jealous! I’m sure the tour of Pixar is going to be awesome!
Justin,
I am so excited about attending this. I love the Pixar movies and can’t wait to see where the magic happens.
