I just love watching this kid have such a great time. The 1st trip to Dairy Queen was such a fun time! I hope she has great memories of Dairy Queen as I do.
I’ve been a fan of Dairy Queen ever since I was in Little League and after every game, win or lose the team would go for ice cream cones or DQ specialty items like Dilly Bars. I imagine that this would get expensive for our coaches but they were great and continued to take us after every game. My absolute favorite thing at Dairy Queen is Crunch Coat. Crunch Coat is basically an awesome, crunchy, nutty, rainbow-sprinkled ice cream topping. It is the best topping to a cone ever. Sort of a peanut brittle and jimmies, shots, sprinkles (depending upon region of the US) combination that I would always get on my cone. Most kids went for the cherry dip or chocolate dip cone. Not me, it was twist with Crunch Coat all the way!
Dairy Queen has just announced their first-ever permanent value-menu. It is called DQ® Sweet Deals.
What is so sweet about this deal. Well, you can mix and match from nine menu items. You can choose two items for $3, three for $4 or four for $5. The options work out to over 20,000 incredible taste combinations.
Here are the nine tasty items: Dairy Queen® cheeseburger, classic all-beef hot dog, new chicken wrap, yummy French fries, crispy onion rings, fresh salad, beverage and an irresistible sundae or cone made with the signature DQ soft serve with the curl on top.
How did I learn about this? I saw it on the Dairy Queen Blog. Yes, that delicious DQ ice cream has a blog. I learned about it too late because all the gift cards have been given out. Sheesh, late to the tasty table.
However, the Dairy Queen Blog is still offering a great prize for the best blog post. Well once they see Eva enjoying her 1st Dairy Queen dipped cone then they need to pick this post. Because this kids really loves her Dairy Queen.
I love how kids turn ice cream into a full-contact activity! as always, great pix
Craigs last blog post..Quick Review: "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"
Craig,
It was so much fun to watch. She attacked the cone and ate it from the wrong side so her clothes were full of drips. IT was hilarious.
Good use of False perspective with the Ice cream cones .It looks like they are giants compared to Eva.
lennys last blog post..happy ducks
Drew did you go to the Dairy Queen in the town where you live? I have been to a bunch of Dairy Queens and I have to say that is probably the worst dairy queen on the plant.
I used to love then they would never take any of the dairy queen coupons. I think they are a rouge Dairy Queen.
Remember the owners kids who used to park his transam in the side lot while he was working. Nice car till it got smashed up.
I really wish it was a better dairy queen because dairy queen rocks!
Eva must take after Grandfather. Cherry dipped Dairy Queen is my favorite.
Thanks Lenny,
I was actually trying to keep the camera sort of hidden in case I shouldn’t be filming in the DQ.
Stephen,
Yes, that is the same one. It is better these days actually. Actually I think they do take the coupons now. I remember it as being a dive before it got better.
Grandfather,
Well then I know where you guys can go when the summer comes around. She’d like that.
Is it me or is Eva adorable even when she’s a mess of ice cream? She’s a riot!! I love when she grabs for the napkin and then later just uses her hand. Hysterical:) She could be her own reality tv show…the ratings would be through the roof!!
Mo,
I hoped that you also enjoyed the subtitles, to my best knowledge that is what I think she would be saying at those points. I had a hard time not cracking up either.
I did not know they still had crunch coat. I have to go back because I thought it was gone.
Autumn
Autumn,
Not all locations have it but the North Attleboro one does. It is a very good topping, I love it! Glad you are reading the blog.
