Got my Copy of Disney Infinity 2.0

My review copy of Disney Infinity arrived today. Well, it is not exactly a review copy because I’m not obligated to write a review with it but rather I’m writing a post on Friday all about the launch of Disney Infinity 2.0.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the game as much as I do. I have Infinity 1.0 and never ever play it. Now with Marvel Super Heroes as part of the game it is much improved. So far I’ve only played with the Avengers Play Set and the characters that are part of the starter kit.

Prior to the launch of the game I had pre-ordered the game from Amazon.com and there was a deal where you got the game, a package of power discs, 3 extra figures and the Spider-Man Play Set. That whole thing was $119, I added the Guardians of the Galaxy set as well. Then I found out that I got the shop where I’d get my own copy of the game. I re-thought that purchase decision and cancelled my whole order. I’ve got Skylanders coming out in two weeks and wanted to spend my money on that game instead. I had also made an order for figures through the DisneyStore.com site because I had a credit there. I tried to cancel it but was unable to do so. So I let it arrive. Celebrate the 4th of July with a Couple of All American apps

I review a bunch of iPad apps and from time to time the ones that I review go on sale and I’m alerted to that to let you know that you can pick them up for good prices. Two such apps are the Avengers Origins: Assemble! and Avengers Origins: Hulk. These are normally $3.99 – $5.99 each but until Sunday July 8th they are only $1.99 and the cool thing about them is that they are narrated by Stan “The Man” Lee. “Avengers Origins: Assemble!” App

The “Assemble” story is the perfect introduction to exciting Super Heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and more. The app features innovative, interactive activities including matching heroic accessories with each Super Hero, using Thor’s powers and the Hulk’s strength to stop the Atlanteans and Namor, melting the ice to free Captain America from his frozen prison and playing an action-packed 3D third-person-view mini-game! Available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

“Avengers Origins: Hulk” App

Follow Stan Lee’s story narration of Dr. Bruce Banner’s epic transformation into the Incredible Hulk. The app features detailed artwork, cutting-edge animations, and interactive touch-screen activities, including roaring, transforming into the Hulk, and testing the Hulk’s strength by breaking through walls, stopping tanks, and more. Available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

If your kids are a little younger but are using the iPad then I have a cute alphabet app for you. It is called ABC Fireworks App. Young children, pre-school age can tap letters as they are fired into the sky. As your child taps the letter it explodes in a flash of color like a firework. There are a few different firework designs and so many colors. Eva already knows her alphabet very well but she was fully engrossed and entertained by this app. When we originally reviewed this together we had some suggestions for the app developer and he was very receptive to our suggestions and even made some changes based on those suggestions. I love it when an app developer takes into consideration the suggestions from users. I think the app has become vastly improved with the changes and now the app is only $0.99 in the app store. That special price is good till Saturday the 7th.
