Energizer Headlights #LightMyWay to a Better Night’s Sleep

I did this shopping trip already, back home and that time I picked up a Cap Light and not one of the Beam Headlights. Big Difference. So, I learned that I had to go back and do the shop again and it just so happened that I knew exactly what to use the Headlight for while on vacation. It has to do with this guy.

Walmart trip with Daddy. I should be in bed, right now.

The title of this post is completely counter intuitive. How can something that lights up give someone better sleep. Oh, I didn’t mean my sleep, oh no, my sleep has been shot for years and vacations only make it worse. We are down in Florida visiting my in-laws for our vacation. Both kids are sleeping in the same room and my son is a terrible sleeper on a good day, on vacation he’s become impossible. This is the third night in a row that I’ve been up at 3-3:30am trying to get him back to sleep. He can get back to sleep with a little work. Me though, once I’m up, I’m up. 3am or 6am, it doesn’t matter. So, I might as well get some work done. Thing is, I can’t go turning lights on all over the house because that would wake people up and I can’t see my keyboard on my laptop from just the ambient light off of the screen. That is where I thought the night mode of the Energizer Headlight would help me best. If I’m going to run all night like the Energizer Bunny (@EnergizerBunny) I had better be able to see. Behind the Scenes of an Upcoming Blog Post

Photo-A-Day #2619

I got home from work today with a brutal pounding headache. I had one most of the night at work and am out of my stash of Advil, Tylenol, Generic Pain Reliever. So it wasn’t until I got home that I could take some. I got home and Allison was getting ready for the Strut Your Mutt event where she would be setting up her table and tent and her Barefoot Books display. Well, those books needed to get from the house to the car plus the tent, table and a chair, and the two kids. I got out of the car kissed everyone and began loading up. Table, four boxes of books, tent and chair loaded. All the while my adorable and excitable little girl wants me to play with her. I finally had to stop and explain to her what a headache was. Spreading #SearsRealCheer Through the Lights on our House with #CBias

Christmas Lights are not only fun and enjoyable for your own family but also for the people around you. In our old neighborhood there were many homes that decorated for Christmas. There was one house that had a full scene of Charlie Brown’s Christmas. It was always nice to go and see that house each Christmas and if it had snowed, then all the better. I was happy to be able to get some lights for decorating at Sears this Christmas. I thought that we were not going to do any decorating this year because we had just moved and so had no lights or anything else to decorate our home. Lighting up the House with #SearsRealCheer

Photo-A-Day #2441

Yesterday Allison, Eva and I went to the Emerald Square Mall. I was there to go to Sears to do a shopping mission for Collective Bias. My mission was to go to Sears for outdoor lighting and purchase some lights for my home. This was a great mission for me because we just moved to a new home in August. This is our first house and we don’t have any outdoor decorations. I wasn’t sure what to get so I checked out the Sears site for inspiration. There were so many different kinds of lights to choose from but I still needed some help. Continue reading Lighting up the House with #SearsRealCheer

Treating our Cars to some #EngineLuv with STP Multipurpose Motor Treatment #CBias

I’ve never been the best at taking care of everything that my car needs. I get it serviced for regular maintenance and preventive maintenance. I’ve never changed my own oil but I used to have this car that required oil very often that I bought it by the case and would fill the oil in the car. I can check the oil, fill the radiator coolant, washer fluid and can change tires (it is called a Triple AAA card for that last one). Every winter we get some gasline antifreeze to put into the cars and so I’ve added things to my gasoline before but never on the scale of what the STP Multipurpose Motor Treatment brings to the table. Bloggy Boot Camp Boston

Photo-A-Day #2220

Today I attended Bloggy Boot Camp in Boston. Collective Bias took care of my ticket to the event. The event was nice, a good place for people who are starting to get into blogging to go and network with each other. It is geared toward women and that was evidenced by me being one of three men at the event. It is okay I didn’t feel outnumbered or intimidated. I don’t fit the typical husband mold anyway so I am used to the jokes and jibes. Continue reading Bloggy Boot Camp Boston

Rain on the Plants

Photo-A-Day #2007

I’ve been doing quite a bit of guest posting lately. I’m writing over on Bloggingtips.com once a week still and this week is a post about BlogWorld & New Media Expo. I’m one week away from being in Las Vegas for the biggest blogging conference of the year. I’m so excited for this year because so many cool things are going to go on.

I’ve been doing work with Collective Bias and also Seagate and I am fortunate to be a sponsored blogger. That will really help when it comes time to pay for the trip. Also I’m going to finally get to sit down and meet some many people that I’ve been working with for a while from both Collective Bias and Seagate. I’ll also get to meet the people from Kodak that I have been working with as well. I’ve been very fortunate to be on the receiving end of some very cool gadgets from Kodak including the camera I used to take today’s shot. Continue reading Rain on the Plants

Retro Kitty

Photo-A-Day #1950

I was looking on Twitter today and saw a blogger mention another blogger and so I followed to find out more about that blogger and further down the rabbit hole I went. However, in my travels I discovered a new Droid App called Retro Camera. It is free and it uses your existing Droid camera to photograph using 4 different retro cameras. Today’s Photo is using the Pinhole setting. Like most camera related programs on the Droid this is wicked slow. But, once the photo is done it comes out looking pretty funky.
