Allison and Eva made some delicious cupcakes today. They had their friends Michelle, Audrey and Nate over to help decorate them. We certainly enjoyed them tonight.
Expertly decorated by two 16 month olds and a 4 year old.
Eva contemplates the meaning of chocolate cupcakes
Eva turned 1 year old this afternoon at 12:04pm. The year that was flew by so incredibly quick that our heads are spinning. I cannot believe that this beautiful girl was once so very small. Yes, she is still small but each day she grows more into her own. Her own personality, her own sense of self and her own sense of humor (she is a little clown sometimes). I am so glad that I photographed her ‘almost’ every day for her 1st year. Just being able to look back over how much she has changed in that short period of time is amazing.
We celebrated with a trip to Red Robin for dinner and the staff sang Eva a birthday song and gave her a sundae. Then we came home and Tara and Erik came over for cupcakes. We had a fun time watching Eva as she discovered the joy that is a chocolate frosted cupcake. I’ve posted some of my favorite photos from today on Flickr. You can see them starting with this one.
Oh and I keep working on my Fry Sauce recipe. This time I mixed the ketchup and mayo with pickle juice and Red Robin seasoning. DELICIOUS!! Thanks to Steve for the pickle juice idea.
