Better Get the New Mike and Ike Patriotic Mix for Your Memorial Day

Mike and Ike Patriotic Mix

We received a bunch of great Mike and Ike Candy to taste and review. I actually asked them for some samples because I saw them in the store. Opinions are as, always my own.

In the video below Eva and I taste test from of the latest Summer Flavors from Mike and Ike. The three flavors that we try out in the video are Mike and Ike Italian Ice, Mike and Ike Lemonade Blends and Mike and Ike Patriotic Mix. My favorite box of the three has to be the lemonade blends. I love the sour sweet candy. I was also pleasantly surprised with the Patriotic Mix. I wasn’t sure how I would like the Vanilla Ice Cream but it worked for me. Cherry Pie and Blueberry Cobbler were great, too. I had seen jars of these flavors at Target and was really impressed with them, they looked great. I then contacted my PR contact and asked for a sampling and got way more than I bargained for. So we did a blind taste test video with three of the boxes and have a second blind taste test with three other boxes to be released another day.

Let me just say that I cam so glad that Mike and Ike candy from Just Born Quality Confections put Cherry pie in their Patriotic Mix instead of Apple Pie. It is funny, my extreme dislike of apple flavored candy is what got me connected with Mike and Ike. I love that they have kept their original fruit flavors original and that means that Lime stayed in the mix. It never got replaced by green apple. It is a major reason why I love Mike and Ike candy.

Andrew on the Monkey Bars - His Way
Photo-A-Day #4049

Andrew and I went on a few errands today and then finished off with a trip to the zoo and playground. We had to go place the order for the food for Eva’s First Communion. We’re doing platters and sandwiches from Willow Tree. After that we ran over to the comic store to pick up comics. Andrew was a little crazy there but we survived that excursion. Lunch over at Wetherlane’s and Andrew entertained everyone around us as we were leaving by telling them that he flew down a slide and kicked me in the face. He’s a showman. I was attempting to get him to nap later.

When we got to Capron Park we went into the zoo first. He had gotten a lollipop at the comic book shop and wanted to eat it. I figure, let’s walk around and see all the animals and he can finish his lollipop. He did pretty well with it. Then we hit the playground and Andrew played on everything. His favorite thing to do now is to climb across the top of the monkey bars. I’m right there next to him within catching distance, so don’t worry.

For my vlog today I got a bunch of new Mike and Ike candy as well as new Peeps. Those were sent to me for a future promotion and I also spotlighted a few things that I bought recently. One was a 75th Anniversary Captain America Hot Wheels and then the other was a three-pack of Hot Wheels cars including All-New Captain America, Superior Iron Man and Miles Morales Spider Man. Check them out.
