The title today comes from a Tweet that Chris Sorel posted about a photo of Andrew the other day. He said that the stripes on my sad little monkey made him look like a sad dwarf. So today I saw a Dwarf LEGO minifig on a desk and had to take the photo, mostly because I like the look of the guy. Continue reading Not A Sad Dwarf

Aaay!
When I was a kid I watched Happy Days and I really liked the character of Fonzi. This little LEGO character sits on my desk and gives me a little “Aaay!” every once in a while. So random. Continue reading Aaay!
Cali Lewis Meets EvaBear

Photo-A-Day #2100
Today I met one of my top 10 online awesome-est people. I finally met Cali Lewis. After missing out on meeting her during two BlogWorld Expos and after following her podcast for over three years I finally met her. I’m in Las Vegas for a couple of days for the Consumer Electronics Show, Affiliate Summit and then I leave for Detroit for the North American International Auto Show. On my flight here I caught up on my backlog of video podcasts including GeekBeat.tv, Cali’s Show. She usually does tweet ups and so I checked to see if she said anything about doing a TweetUp while she was here. Luckily I caught the tweet showing that she was having a TweetUp at Earl of Sandwich over in Planet Hollywood Casino. Daniel and I headed over.
Alleluia Little Town

Photo-A-Day #2088
Our morning started with Church and Eva was in rare form. She wanted to sing today. So she sang Alleluia… loudly. We are so lucky to be in the Church that we are in because Fr. Dave completely rolled with it. He said that the choir might have a new member but she only knew Alleluia so far. Eva wasn’t to be upstaged or limited because she then sang Hosanna later. She was cracking up everyone around us and since it was Church it was even harder not to laugh. She turned to me and said, “When I sing Hosanna you are supposed to laugh”. So hard not to laugh. An older woman behind me grabbed my shoulders and shook me as she laughing and told me that I need to get Eva on TV. Oh boy, we are in trouble.
Southern New England Media Makers at Morin’s Diner

Photo-A-Day #2053
Today I attended my very first Southern New England Media Makers meeting. The third Sunday of each month a group of people who are creating media in many forms get together and discuss what they are doing, ask questions and help solve problems. We meet at Morin’s Diner one town over from me and it is a great breakfast place.

Shy Pumpkin Face
We have some Fall decorations around the house. I figured I’d try a few things with my camera and my Sima SL-20LX Ultra Bright Video Light (Black) (Aff Link). I haven’t ever used this light on my camera before but I like it. I like it better than the flash because it is nice and even. I was able to also get a few photos of our cat Duncan and it didn’t give him crazy laser eyes either. I found that by adjusting the ISO and the White Balance to Tungsten I could get a decent shot with very good light.
Fairy Wings and New Things

Photo-A-Day #2020
Just an interesting photo of Allison’s Halloween costume. I’m really beat after my past few days at BlogWorld & New Media Expo. I finally got all my photos and posts up and those will take a little while to read so if you are interested in them check ’em out and I’ll bring you back to regularly scheduled posts tomorrow. I also recorded the latest episode of Geek Dads Weekly with Daniel M. Clark tonight. He’s just launched a new site called QAQN. It means nothing, but it is the launch of his new media dynasty.
