Two in a Tent Having Fun

Photo-A-Day #2185

This morning I was up early helping my Dad load his motorcycle onto his bike. I guess giving him that voucher for the Harley-Davidson iPod has really changed how he enjoys music. He went and got himself a radio with iPod dock for his bike and made himself cruising mixes. I love that he’s gotten so into the iPod technology. Continue reading Two in a Tent Having Fun

Keeping my Pulse on What’s Next

with CC Chapman
Photo-A-Day #2145

Today I had a pretty amazing day in the world of social media. I was a guest on both the Fitarella.TV and Digital Dads TV shows on The Pulse Network. I’m very lucky to be able to live close enough to the Pulse Network to make it over for a show. I met Jacqueline Carly AKA (@Fitarella) at Boston Media Makers a few months ago. We did a video interview together after that and she asked me if I would like to be on a show. I was happy to do so. I’ve wanted to go to see what The Pulse was all about and how they did their shows. I met Kyle MacNaught (@KyleMacNaught) at a Southern New England Media Makers meetup and asked him if I could come earlier and observe what happens behind the scenes. He was up for it and I loved being able to see what happens when a show is being produced. Continue reading Keeping my Pulse on What’s Next

Whoa! Much More Snow!

This morning I awoke to another foot+ of snow in the yard. Luckily, I worked from home today so I could get up and help with the cleanup and not miss time. I also didn’t have to commute in that stuff. The snow was pretty soft and easy to move and since we packed all the cars at the top of the driveway it was pretty easy to clear out and then move everything. The sunshine on the blacktop took care of most of the rest of the snow throughout the day.

Preparing for Preschool

Photo-A-Day #2108

Today we signed Eva up for preschool. We went over to the school right off in the morning and she took to it like a fish to water. The teachers there also liked Eva. One teacher brought her some crayons and things to color and also showed her the classroom. I know I’m probably going to break down and cry when she goes the first day but I know she’ll do great. Wishing and Hoping

Wishing and Hoping
Photo-A-Day #2097

You know what they say about wishes right… You can wish in one hand and crap in the other, see which one fills up first.

I’ve been thinking a lot about wishing and hoping lately. Or rather, I’ve been doing a lot of wishing and hoping, which isn’t actually doing anything. Lot’s of non-action happening around here.

The Best Damn Brussels Sprouts

Best Damn Brussels Sprouts
Photo-A-Day #2096

Tonight Allison made an batch of Daniel M. Clark’s Best Damn Brussels Sprouts. As I attempt to get healthy I am exploring different foods that are better for me than others. I’m trying to eliminate extra carbs from potatoes, white rice and more. I’ve gotten into eating Quinoa as well. For a while I had been eating half sandwiches but I’m not using bread anymore in those sandwiches but instead wrapping some chicken or turkey in lettuce for my lunch. Eventually I’ll work on more variety in the lunches as well. I love how the Brussels sprouts and bacon looked, very colorful. The one thing that I’d say about it was that they were really hot, the red pepper flakes were absorbed into the broth. Other than that they were great! Frozen Over

Photo-A-Day #2083

Took a walk today at lunch. Liked how this looked then liked it more in Black and White. No details on the shot today as I took the photo through the program Everytrail and for some reason it doesn’t record much of anything other than the filename. It was supposed to record everything but the app is not working right for me. I wrote all about it over on my weekly Road to Thin Post.

Christmas is for Kids 2010

Photo-A-Day #2066

Today was a good day. It started off with me getting some work done and a post completed for a guest spot over at Blog World Expo. For the next week weeks, and last week, I was asked to write a few posts that had to do with creating content around certain topics. The first one was just about creating content but the second I think was much better crafted. It is all about food and creating content for your blog focused on food. That goes up Monday.
