Skylanders SuperChargers Thrillipede and Buzz Wing

We received two of the latest Skylanders SuperChargers to play with and review. Opinions are 100% our own.

The last two Skylanders for Skylanders SuperChargers have been released. Those would be the Skylander Thrillipede and his vehicle Buzz Wing. Thrillipede was released as a Springtime decoration character called Eggcited Thrillipede. I have that one and he’s a fun Easter bunny looking repaint. Buzz Wing is the first and only release and it is really sweet. There is a double gimmick to it. The wings not only pop out at a press of a button but when pushed repeatedly the wings flap. Both are fun toys and I am looking forward to more gameplay with them.

Skylanders Themed Cake Masters Watch Party

We received a special Skylanders Party package from Activision for free which also included a box of Duff Goldman’s Blue Suede cake mix. Opinions of this cake mix and the Skylanders brand is 100% my own. This blue cake mix with a blueberry flavor to it has a slight fruity flavor to it but it is certainly not overpowering. I really enjoyed it.

So with the cake mix there were a ton of things to use to throw a Skylanders themed party. There were decorations, balloons, temporary tattoos, glow sticks, bracelets and so much more. There was even a wall decoration that we could use to take photos with and masks, too. We even ate on Skylanders plates and napkins and drank from Skylanders cups.

We had our friends come over to share pizza and cake with us. I baked the cake this afternoon and Allison came home to decorate it. I gave her a Skylanders portal and some figures. I picked up some of Duff’s frosting and also some blue sprinkles. I had to use the Power Blue Trigger Happy as my character because it went well with the cake color and the sprinkles.
