Hulk and Thor’s Excellent Adventure in the THOR: RAGNAROK Trailer

Thor ragnarok

Thor and the incredible hulk are not known for their big brains. They are more known for smashing things first, asking questions later. Well, maybe not asking questions, more like having quizzical looks on their faces. The THOR: RAGNAROK trailer was released at San Diego Comic-Con and it looks like a high stakes super fun trip through space. This trailer has everything in it. Explosive action, humor and heart. These are some characters that you care about and having Thor and Hulk finally have a movie together may solve the problems that viewers have had with the solo Hulk and Thor movies. These guys are unstoppable forces and they play off each other so well. They are matched in a fight, they are both not that bright and they bring great humor to the MCU.

THOR: RAGNAROK puts these two guys on a journey to save Asgard from Hela and her minions. It also puts them in a collision course with each other in the Grandmaster’s coliseum. Along the way they pick up allies in Valkyrie and Loki. Doctor Strange is set to appear in the movie as well but in what role, I do not know.

There is a feel of a budy movie to this one along the lines of an 80’s buddy movie where you have two tough guys, sort of like the Tango and Cash of the MCU. And, you know what, Maybe it was my subconscious mind that thought of that because Stallone and Russell were in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. You can see the trailer here.

The movie poster was also released. You can see that and more movie details below.

Review: Spider-Man Homecoming LEGO Sets

The Vulture vs Spider-Man
Photo-A-Day #4468

About a month or so ago I picked up the two Spider-Man Homecoming LEGO sets. These two are from some particularly important fight scenes from the movie. At one point Peter Parker observes four masked robbers trying to knock over an ATM. Spider-Man swings in and he fights with them only to discover that they have some pretty high tech weapons and the battle will be tougher than he thought. The other set is Spider-Man’s first encounter with The Vulture. This is an interesting chase scene in the movie that was very reminiscent of Ferris Bueller’s Day off, so much so that they showed a clip of the scene in question in the movie.

Andrew and I built the ATM Heist Battle together yesterday and I built the Beware the Vulture one tonight as Allison and I watched the last two episodes of Bloodline. I had an idea to make a fun stop motion using the original Vulture from a previous LEGO set with this Vulture for Built from Bricks but instead I went for a chase scene with the current Spider-Man vs the Vulture from an older set. That stop motion can be seen here: Spider-Man vs. The Vulture Chase Scene.
