Before Christmas we received a huge box from The Toy Insider because I am part of their Parent Advisory Panel. In the box was a really large LEGO set. It was the Coast Guard Head Quarters set and it came with two boats, a helicopter and five minifigs plus a couple of buildings and a shark. I wasn’t sure if we’d be ready to do this together but I was wrong. Andrew has progressed leaps and bounds in his small motor skills and he can put together LEGO sets really well now. It was also very enjoyable to build with him. We took turns with every other page and when he started to wander a bit I got to build more. He’s able to do a lot of the building, too.

Next I will have to work with Eva on her LEGO friends set.

I am part of The Toy Insider Parent Panel and they were so kind to send my family a sampling of some of the amazing toys that they selected to be part of their Holiday Gift Guides. We unboxed this fantastic box of toys today and it was so much fun! While I could go on and on about what was in the box I would rather you see for yourself in the video below. They must have known that we like board games even before I wrote my latest post on the Parent Panel Blog: Board Games for Busy Families.
