A while ago we received the game Rush Hour Shift. The kids and I play from time to time. Andrew has started really enjoying playing board games but he is very competitive and gets upset when he loses. We’re working on how he can be a gracious loser and also gracious winner. We played Rush Hour Shift this morning. When we play together now we keep our cards down so everyone can see. I help the kids with their strategy a little and I make it more teachable than a competition, as much as I can. The kids won the first game and I won the second. Then they beat me at the end. I liked how they worked together in the game. I had to give them some instruction but for the most part they beat me on their own. I’m very proud of that.

We were also able to talk a bit about angles and mirrors. Of course, I had to keep reminding him not to stick his fingers directly onto the mirrors. I got a bit frustrated after the millionth time telling him this but it was still fun overall. Continue reading Review: Laser Maze Jr. from ThinkFun
