Voltron: Legendary Defender has returned with another “mini” season. It is Season 4 and now the paladins are recruiting more people to fight against the Galra Empire. There are six new action packed episodes. In them we see conflict within the Voltron Team, changing rosters and a hunt for Prince Lotor. That is all within the first episode! I cannot wait to watch all the episodes with the kids.

Netflix sent me these great cards that are mini posters in support of the Voltron Coalition as part of the Netflix StreamTeam. I figured that these would be something that would be posted on fences and walls so I brought them outside for a little photo shoot. It went real well with my die-cast Voltron. Check out the trailer and then go watch the new season.

Voltron Season 4 Returns October 13th on Netflix #StreamTeam

Voltron Team

I wasn’t quite thrilled that Voltron was split into 7 episodes and 6 episodes this year but I am thrilled that the second half of this year’s episodes returns this coming Friday. he kids and I have been fans ever since the first season. I’ve actually been a fan for a little longer because I was able to visit DreamWorks Animation Studios a few years ago before the show began. I can’t wait to find out what happens next, but then it is going to be a long wait for season 5. There was a panel at New York Comic-Con and I’ve wanted to get there for years. I would have loved to see the cast again.

During the panel, a fan asked Kimberly to choose between Shiro and Lance. She refused to answer on behalf of Princess Allura. But as Kimberly Brooks goes she’s Shiro all the way!

Prince Lotor Rises Tomorrow on Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 #StreamTeam

Voltron - Prince Lotor

Tomorrow the battle for the fate of the Universe begins anew!

DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 will debut on Netflix TOMORORW August 4th with seven all-new episodes. In the wake of Zarkon’s defeat and Shiro’s disappearance, the paladins struggle to move forward with no one able to pilot the black lion or the ability to form Voltron. The team must quickly devise a plan as the ascension of Prince Lotor and his generals pulls the team into a perilous game of cat-and-mouse that tests their unity and abilities more than ever before.

Here is a brand new clip of Prince Lotor owning the whole of the Galra Empire. Where Zarkon was a rage of emotion, Lotor is more calculated and I think a more dangerous villain in this series. We shall see when season 3 drops tomorrow. But first, this clip.

And who are these people? They are Lotor’s generals.

Voltron Season 3 Teaser Trailer #StreamTeam

Black Lion

Straight from San Diego Comic-Con the team behind Voltron: Legendary Defender has released the teaser trailer for Season 3. This is a minute and 35 second teaser you have the introduction of a new villain, Prince Lotor who will be voiced by AJ Locasio (Back to the Future: The Game, Marty McFly). We also have the paladins and Princess Alura considering a new pilot for the Black Lion because Shiro has disappeared after Zarkon’s defeat. Without the Black Lion there can not be a Voltron. By the end of the trailer we see the Black Lion come to life again. But who is the pilot? We will have to wait until August 4th to binge on this amazing show.

I for one love the show and would have loved to have been at Comic-con to see the panel for the sneak peek screening that was followed by an in-depth discussion of the upcoming season with executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos, co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery, Bex Taylor-Klaus (voice of Pidge), Tyler Labine (voice of Hunk) and panel moderator Kyle Anderson, Associate Editor of Nerdist.

what I am bummed out about is that there will only be seven episodes in Season 3 on august 4th and then six more on October 4th for a Season 4. I definitely want more Voltron than that, but I know that I’m going to enjoy what comes. I just hope that we see Shiro again. I love the character and the voice actor, Josh Keaton.

Prince Lotor

Who will be the new pilot of the Black Lion? How many episodes in will we have to wait for that information? I hope not too long.

If you are not caught up on Voltron Legendary Defender then head to Netflix because seasons 1 and 2 are there for the bingeing. And, while you are at it, check out the creator’s and actor’s favorite classic episodes in Voltron 1984, also on Netflix.

The Kids React to Voltron Season 2 Finale

The Kids React to VOLTRON Season 2
Photo-A-Day #4313

The kids and I watched the last two episodes of Voltron Season 2 tonight. The certainly packed a ton of action into the whole season. We watched as the action got more and more intense from the beginning of episode 12 to the very end of episode 13. I was sort of nervous about the finale because I had heard the possibility of there being a major death in the episode. I can’t say whether or not a death happened but it was intense.

I was also worried because we watched all of Trollhunters together and something really tragic happened at the end of the season. It hit Eva really hard. I was hoping that this wouldn’t be on that same level. They are two separate shows. They have two different vibes. We love the Paladins and we love the Trollhunters. Both finales gave me the chills with the stakes being so high. There were characters that I feared for and some that I cheered for. There were tears and gasps of amazement. I loved the action of Voltron. They really pulled out all the stops on those last episodes. The action was incredible. The kids loved it and the cliffhanger of an ending makes us eager for Season 3.
