I’m in the Project X-Cloud Preview

A while back one of my co-workers told me about Project X-Cloud. This is a new way to play XBox games on the go. Xbox is looking to launch a program where you only need an xBox controller with Bluetooth and a tablet or cell phone with the ability to connect to the internet. My XBox controllers have bluetooth so I got a $5 bracket that hold my cell phone and I can play games right off the cloud. The games are screaming fast and super clear because the processing power is done by Microsoft and not my phone. Phones do not have a high enough GPU to process such high end games like Gears of War, Halo and more. Actually in the preview there are only four games that I can play. They are Gears of War 5, Halo 5, Killer Instinct and Sea of Pirates. I’ve been playing Gears of War 5 already and it is a lot of fun. It is cool to be able to take this on the go and play it anywhere.

I’ve been playing a bunch of XBox games lately and instead of constantly replacing batteries I went and picked up a rechargeable platform for my two controllers. This works really well, too. You push down the spot to engage and push back up just for storage. I once again have to set everything up again in my office so that I can have a clean and usable space. In the meantime I have fully charged controllers and can play as often as I have time.
