Photo-A-Day #4298
I found all of the Star Wars Rebels Funko Pops at Target today. The ones I found were Zeb Orrelios, Chopper, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla and I already had Ahsoka Tano from months ago at Hot Topic. There is a Sabine with her helmet on that I need to find, too. That Pop! is a Walgreens exclusive. Well, I know where I’ll be searching in the next couple of days.
I also took these toys and made a Samsung Gear 360 VR video with them. You can see that using your VR headset. I have embedded that video below today’s unboxing video of the Star Wars Rebels Funko Pops! Toys.
I had the idea of putting the Star Wars Rebels Pops! in a circle and have the Gear 360 take a video of them so that you could put on your VR headset and see all of the Star Wars Rebels as you turned your head around. I couldn’t quite get what I wanted and will have to work on constructing some sort of black or white box to use so that the light can be evenly distributed and the background and overhead would not take away from the look of the figures being made into VR images. I think it would be cool to be able to make a bunch of toy videos like that with the VR camera in the middle and capturing the toys. That way I would always know the spot where the seams were and I could avoid putting something in that spot. It is possible that maybe if it was something completely controlled that the images and videos would come out better and with less overlap and seams. You can judge for yourself, remember, it is one of my first.
I spent part of the day trying to figure out how to overlay sound on my VR videos. There is a song in the video above but that is only because I played it on my phone while I recorded the video. I want to be able to do this for the cars that I shot yesterday. I can’t seem to find the right codes to make it work on my computer. If I edit the video on the phone it becomes flat and no longer VR. There has to be a way. I know of different ways that are quite expensive. That is not the way I want to go at this time.
A lot of “finally” moments on this one. They finally got around to making an Ahsoka Pop! It finally arrived (but then it did have to wing it’s way to Australia – yes, we can get it here, but much nicer in the collection with the Hot Topic Exclusive sticker from the US). And, not least …I finally have Ahsoka in my collection. The sculpt and paint job are excellent, and it arrived in pristine condition thanks to a wonderful packing job! Thanks Hot Topic.
I ordered this online the day it came out. The detail in this Pop! is amazing! I Love the double Clear (white) Lightsabers. This Exclusive Ahsoka Pop! Vinyl is Beautiful! I Love the attention to detail. This is the Perfect Pop to start the (Star Wars) Rebels Line. I bought 3 of them!
