You probably have seen my posts about trying to teach Eva to ride a bike. That endeavor has met with frustration and tears, usually on both our parts. So when I saw the opportunity to review a PlasmaCar I was very excited. Here was a simple vehicle that Eva could use to scoot herself about just by using her hands on the steering wheel or when she wants to, by using her feet. When it arrived at our house I wanted to put it together right away. We had been getting many toys and prizes all at once and it was Eva’s birthday so there was a major glut of “things” and we spoiled her so much that she got a little lippy and lost the privilege of riding the PlasmaCar right away. We were both bummed out over that. But after a few days we were able to start playing with the PlasmaCar together and we’ve been having fun ever since.
I make a slight mistake in this video. The maximum weight for riders is 220lbs on Flat surfaces, not 230lbs.
Almost a couple of weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to try out some pirate costumes to celebrate the release of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES Available on Blu-ray 3D & Blu-ray Hi-Def Combo Pack! I jokingly asked my contact if they had a “pregnant serving wench” costume. And you know what, they did. Actually it is a Mommy to be Pirate costume. There was a fun, all black pirate costume for me and an adorable little buccaneer costume for Eva. While these were not costumes that looked like those from the characters of the movie they were actually pretty nice.
Mine came with a bandanna, belt, boot coverings, wrist gauntlets and a decent shirt. Allison’s came with pants w/boot covers, shirt w attached vest and hat. Eva’s came with Shirt w attached vest, Hat, headband, belt and boot covers. Other than Allison’s costume being a “One size fits all” that should probably have been a “one size fits many” the costumes fit pretty well.
