I saw on the news today that two teens from Canada used a weather balloon, some smartphones and a LEGO minifig to send the figure into space. That is pretty amazing seeing as these kids are 17 years old. I know that there have been other people who have used Weather Balloons to launch things up into space, like an iPhone.
